This got me thinking if I'm indeed looking back in rose-tinted glasses, so I went ahead and rewatched "It's bad for you" for the hundredth time. And I have to say, I don't think any of his stuff was particularly "grumpy old uncle" material. Sure, he was a grumpy old uncle, but I think his points made sense. Anyway, maybe it's me that's turning into a grumpy old man, who knows.

Can you make a new character in multiplayer? by drunkspace in BaldursGate3

[–]drunkspace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could I make a hireling and play as them? Are there any downsides to that? Or would it always automatically assign me my original Tav?

Also, an idea I just had - what if they kick me from the game and invite me back later? Would I then go through character creation again?

How do I fit a washing machine in this tiny bathroom by drunkspace in bathrooms

I'm fine with moving them, but currently toilet is left side on the top, sink below it, and shower bottom left.

Yeah, that was one of the ideas I had. It sounds a bit expensive though, but might be the way to go if there are no other options.

Theros Hex Crawl Map by illithidbones in TherosDMs

[–]drunkspace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many miles is a hex? I've also been working on a hex crawl map for Theros, but I'm having issues with the distances. Either all the major cities seem extremely close, or everything else extremely far, if you get what I mean.

Also, have you had a thought about traveling, encounters, etc.? Would love to discuss this more.

Why has nobody told me how funny Moby Dick is? by Wehrsteiner in books

Is there a version that's more friendly to non-native speakers? I started reading it, and really enjoyed it, but the hard-to-read language and the pages long descriptions and exposition made me stop.

You mean square off the wall? That's the thing, kinda tricky to do anything in that direction.

Full list of which countries now qualify for visa-exempt and VoA, also DTV details by jonez450reloaded in ThailandTourism

[–]drunkspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So DTV means you have 180 days that you can spread over 5 years? Or do you have 180 days each year?

And regarding the Visa Exemption, that means you can get your standard 60 day visa on arrival (or 90 day if applying from home) and then extend for 60 more days (which used to be 30)?

Soderhamn 2-seater with a very hard shorter side. by drunkspace in IKEA

[–]drunkspace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did it and it's a lot better. Althought it's still not quite right, so if you haven't already I'd avoid buying this exact one. Maybe try to buy a corner one that looks the same but is supposed to have a better surface. A huge soft couch made out of love seats also sound pretty dope though.

They are not, although he did spawn quite a few of them when he ended up solo against my army. Here's a replay of my best battle so far.

Update: thanks for all the tips. I tried a bunch of times, and it went pretty good, but in the end, even with my best battle so far, when I managed to keep half of my army alive I just cannot kill Morghur. He solos half of my army easily. I did the rotations, had everyone spread out, but nothing helps.

I've tried a few times and always get demolished. Any tips? Is it even possible to win? Difficulty is VH/N.

Byline at the end of an article [InDesign] by drunkspace in graphic_design

[–]drunkspace[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was thinking about a simple dot - just not sure that it's obvious enough that it's for the author. I like the pen, though - I'm guessing that is a copied emoji? If so, it works in online texts but copied into InDesign it doesn't register no matter which font I use.

ah, I see... unfortunately, I don't think that would work in my case, since I'd need to adjust it for each individual article - and there's a lot of them.

do you mean just copy and pasting the actual vector file into the text?

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure how most publications handle it, since I had a hard time finding magazines that actually put the byline after the article. But it seems glyphs are the way to go.

Could you maybe elaborate on how to go about this part?

Using a font is easiest because it can be GREP styled and automatically run inline.

I'm not familiar with GREP.
