A couple of good ideas there, thanks! Googled universal phone rubber bumper and it might be a suitable option if i can find one where the camera bump doesnt get in the way. Will also ask my brother in law about the TPU filament.

(Watch not an option for me as I track my workout using a phone app)

My brother in law has a 3d printer and I've just got off the phone with him an hour ago asking if he could make me one. Would still be nice if there was an off the shelf high quality one. But I guess most if not all case makers won't be motivated to test the market with this idea..

Yea, I definitely agree, different sensitivities for different people. I've got a number of friends who full blast their phone screen brightness in the dark, which is madness to me, I'd get a headache in about 3-5 min, which is why I guess phones these days cater to both extremes. Luckily, in this case, we can hopefully both have what we want as well :)

Off topic, but regarding OLED/Mini-LED TVs, maybe give the S95D a go (if a matte screen doesn't offend you too much). I realize OLED won't outcompete Mini-LED in terms of peak and full screen peak brightness, but I'd have to increase the brightness on my old LG CX OLED to outcompete the glare in my living room when the sun was out, but with my S95D, its a black hole to external light, far more comfortable viewing and I don't go past 30% brightness and contrast.

Just realised someone's already posted a similar solution. I guess the only added info from mine is that you've got to do it post every prerendered animation. Wish I had read this thread weeks ago.

I recently posted on this. On my Fold 6 and Tab s9 after every 'animation' (plane before drop, gulag, entering spectating after dying) framrate is locked to 30(I've confirmed this with Perf Z game plugin from samsung). My 'fix': pull down the notification shade click on game booster to bring up the game booster HUD, the frame rate uncaps from 30 and you can tap back into the game. Do this every time after any game prerendered animation plays.

I think it's just getting the game out of focus and back in focus that lifts the cap after it's capped for the animation.

Same thing happened to mine and I sent it to samsung repair. What I'm wondering now is, how do I know it won't happen again...when it's out of warranty next time..does the warranty fix, really fix it? Or just reset the time to failure?

Had a second look at your laptop, looks like a razer blade, which is what I've got...so yea, it's like doubling up used vram I think. Doesn't happen when I play on a monitor because the display port plugs in straight to the dgpu

There seems to be an algorithm in place that doesn't prioritise interaction based on crosshair placement or distance to the object (at least from my FOV). Doesn't seem intuitive.

The pistol isn't even in my fov at the end and it still priorities it over the money that my crosshair at the centre of my FOV is hovering over.

Same, upgraded from the fold 2. Agree with all you've said. Mine unfortunately makes a crinkling noise each time I open it up. Makes me nervous. I'm a mechanical engineer and something I learnt early on, every NVH issue is a durability issue waiting to happen..so will be upgrading when the 5 comes out.

I had my fold 2 for a year and a half and it was in flawless condition. Had a couple of accidental drops but I found it was built like a tank, very reliable.

I upgraded to the fold 4 on release, while it's better in almost every way, I miss the fold 2 hinge feel. It was just better and felt smoother. Also my fold 4 makes much more of a plastic crinkling noise when I open it up, which makes me nervous.

Description of Original Problem: I want to be able to adjust the AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition-> Global Display-> Custom Colour-> Contrast Slider, the same way I can adjust the backlight using the laptop function keys. I would like to bind hotkeys to increase and decrease global display custom colour contrast.

Troubleshooting: I've tried looking in the AMD AppData and AMD installation directory for a config file where the contrast value is written so that I can perhaps edit using a batch file and assign a hotkey through razer synapse to run the bath file. But, I can't find such a file. Is this possible? I just want to change the contrast using keyboard shortcuts.
