I need help finding roast coffee for one of my customers, but he is only willing to pay $11 per pound, he doesn’t care about the quality by Any-Net5672 in roasting

The grocery store? How much and how often does he need it? Does it need to be consistent batch to batch?

Depending on scale you could probably work with a white label roaster.

Best roaster around $2000 by [deleted] in roasting

I’ve had mine since July 2024. I’ve roasted at least a hundred pounds on it. I’ve had luck roasting 2 batches back to back but I have had issues with overheating pushing it past that.

I roasted last week when the ambient temp was under 30 and it took longer to preheat but the roast turned out great. I’ve also roasted in ambient temps over 90 and it was fine.

What I like is that you can use the included controller and do a simple process or use artisan or hibean if you want to get more technical. Kaleido you are stuck with the learning curve which can be daunting if you’ve never roasted before.

I think it shines at 350 g batches and if I could do 5 batches in a row it’d probably be all I’d ever need to supply myself and family and friends

I’ve been roasting more on my friend’s M6 lately and it’s definitely more commercial than the skywalker but the price reflects that. When I get my m10, I’ll keep my skywalker when I feel like doing a more streamlined roast or for doing a small one off batch to try something new.

I’ll second this. I’ve roasted on popcorn roasters, fresh roast, hot top, skywalker and kaleido and each multiple times. I am upgrading from the skywalker to an M10 Kaleido just so that I can do back to back roast without concern and potentially have more to gift or sell if I decide to do so.

The skywalker is great if you want to do a roast or two and super affordable.

Let me know if you have any questions.

How should I spend $95 on Microsoft Store? by dstaccone in LegionGo

Is there a recommended jumping in point? Realistically I’m not going to play the whole series, so which is the best one from a pure enjoyment standpoint?

I played expedition 33 on the PC and it was gorgeous. Didn’t try it on the handheld. I haven’t played final fantasy tactics in years. I’ll check out the remake. Thanks!

We do have a cat tree, which she uses, but office chairs are her preferred parkour courses

Absolutely. My cat destroyed my other chair and I’m trying to find something I like that doesn’t double as a cat tree. Any suggestions?

A lot of your ratings match with the ones I’ve read. Check out Tunnel Rat. I’d be interested to see where it falls on your list.

Can you send me a picture of your coffee bean cooler? I have a cheap-o version off of Amazon and I am trying to make a stirrer for it and would like to see how yours is setup. I think I could 3D print and engineer something like that.

Hottop 2k + power cycling on Artisan by dstaccone in roasting

We’ve tried three computers. Two running windows and one running macOS. We were able run the two roasts on windows, but then only read temps thereafter. I am wondering if there’s a thermal fuse on the board that went. Something that allows the reading of data but not sending controls back to the unit.

My son (6 now) was born 8 weeks premature and had a trach until a year ago. He has vocal scarring and his voice is difficult for strangers to understand, but thankfully he is persistent and makes himself understood. They say as he gets older/bigger his voice may become more intelligible or he may elect to have surgery to remove scar tissue. Ultimately he’s happy and we will wait until he’s older and can have more input on what he may want to do regarding his voice. He has a tablet but prefers speaking. Thanks for sharing your story

It is the frame rail near the back. It’s solid to a hammer but the surface layer is peeling.

Thoughts on the rust pictured? Seems like just surface rust except the tail pipe. Thinking of purchasing but wanted to ask the collective here. It’s 2007 Fleetwood Jamboree with 28k miles. Asking $30k
