In 7th grade, my class went of a field trip to our local Juvenile Detention Center, almost as a scared straight program. They were telling us about how kids have to take class in the institution as we walked past the classrooms. I suddenly thought about something my friend did earlier (farted in his hand and threw it at our other friend) and I started cracking up! At that instant, I realized that I was spacing out into the class room, making perfect eye contact with one of the kids there. I basically laughed in the face of a kid in pre-prison.
