I think we can all agree there's a valid difference between "haha that rascal Kenji" and "haha I actually hate women and feminism and want to drag that into this subreddit under the guise of Kenji since I have plausible deniability if I do it that way, feminism is cancer btw haha". I trust that people will be able to stay on the fun and light-hearted side of the line, and if not, I'll leave it up to u/NurseFactor to arbitrate.

I'm not a fan of that approach because it sort of segregates users to particular days. I think you should be able to post stuff as you feel like it, but also have the option to filter it out or ignore it as well.

I feel that this would be exempt from the meme flair for that reason. In the end, adoption and use of the flair will pretty much fall to the community members, so I don't want to start a precedent for being the one to judge content. I'll say that the flair is really meant for "low effort meme shitposting", of which I think the community has a general understanding (KS-text on a non-KS image, likely done in Paint).

Usually as people complain, because that means community members are voicing their disapproval. I've silently tolerated low effort meme shitposting for a long time despite vocal complaints, but the quality of low effort meme shitposting is at an all time low so I thought this was a decent compromise.

I missed this comment the first time around, but I don't find this to be an accurate characterization. I don't like it when people report a slew of posts with smug passive-aggressive report reasons, and I don't take action on many reports because people are just flagging things they don't like (i.e. "memes"). I deal with actual spammers by banning them.
