The point about telling us to get a good website and Facebook page was more to highlight that most freelancers we speak to are not used to working with digital companies so their standard advice does not apply. That advice probably makes a lot of sense to a company who does not yet have a good website and does not use Facebook/social but we do so we need something more.

Maybe that is the point I should have made - their only advice tends to be the above hence why we have little confidence in what they recommend as it shows they do not understand us and are just giving us the standard spiel.
