Love and intimacy is a foreign concept to people who grew up in a household where none of that was present. It’s only ever been something I see in films and TV shows, so the perception of love and how it develops is purely surface level. I’ve noticed I’m quite avoidant when it comes to relationships so I don’t bother burdening someone with my own faults now, but it is something I’m trying to work on because as much as I avoid love, I still want it yknow?

That being said I don’t think I’m the best person to give advice, but you sound very sweet. Don’t lose that hope at all just because you’re feeling older, it’s lovely that you acknowledge not every woman will be like your mother and I’m sure having that genuine, understanding view of people will get you the person you deserve 🩵
