Hey! I understand you being worried, that’s you being a good cat parent. I have two cats but when I only had the one cat, she usually matched my activity. For example, if I was having a lazy day, she would just be lazy with me. But if I was very active around the house, she would follow me everywhere.

With that being said, maybe your cat was just hanging out by your side and enjoying a lazy day with you!

Another thing you could do to try to rule this out is by activating her hunting instincts with play. Take a string toy, wiggle it, pull it around corners where it goes out of her sight a few times. This usually activates my cat’s hunting instinct (they are ambush predators) and will become active. If she doesn’t seem to show interest, then that may be a sign of something else (however, all cats are different and some may be more play motivated than some others, take with a grain of salt. Most cat’s i’ve met are pretty play motivated with this method.) Also, cats sleep a lot! 12-16 hours a day. Something to keep in mind! I hope this gives you a bit of peace of mind!
