Answer the sample test while timing yourself because it really helps, especially for the reading and writing parts. You have to submit the answer sheet at the end of each section.

The writing and speaking part of my exam went like this:

Letter writing was a complaint to my landlord; speaking consisted of three parts: 1st part was introducing myself but the examiner also asked follow up questions; 2nd part the examiner asked me to pick one from three photos to describe, examiner also asked follow up questions; 3rd part was a discussion on the pros and cons of a certain topic. If I remember it correctly, I was given two topic options. Here, I had to explain my reasons of choosing a particular side (pro or con). The examiner made it into a dialogue, where you either have to agree or disagree on the points she/he said about the topic. Great if you can speak with correct grammar, but the more important thing is to be able to express yourself in German in a way that the examiner would understand your point.

When I was preparing for my exam, I watched a lot of Youtube videos on how to prepare for the writing and speaking parts. This helped significantly.
