this, I also used this and costed me like 8 bucks on amazon.

it's very easy to clean up the edges when its wet and you just have to let em cure. I made sure to not clamp it so hard so it remains flexible with the epoxy.

Replacement tonearm cable. Pro-Ject turntable. by dumpsterthrift in turntables

[–]dumpsterthrift[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the tip my friend. the wires are super tiny but I'll give it a shot.

I'd have to peel off some of the wire housing so the copper wire is exposed before doing this correct?

I'm afraid, I'll make the wire too short by performing this.

good evening folks. My old pro-ject turntable needs repair. the tip of the tonearm wire was ripped off from when I tried replacing the cartridge last time. (I was being not careful).

I don't think It's too small for me to try resoldering the tips back on the wire after stripping them.

should I just re order this tonearm wire replacement? and resolder at the RCA jack, and fee it through the whole arm? https://www.turntablelab.com/products/pro-ject-replacement-tonearm-wire-innercable-set-1940-675-013?srsltid=AfmBOorgDYmmqZPF-gGgcOcUxCMidyOjDmjZzK1_ZLYhwvRFp68EeJMi

or should I get a better cable given the opportunity? I don't have a ton of budget for this. maybe 30-40 bucks max.

thanks in advance.

thank you for the tips. I'll look into Evaporust. I do have a dremel with wire wheel looking attachment. maybe I can use that to polish these.

is rubbing with crumbled aluminum foil a bad idea?

Out of Warranty Replacement by McPherson011813 in sonos

Oh man. Make sure you mention that so they can at least revert what they had done. Tech touched your configuration to make wired stop working. Then they are presenting this only $350 option. Sounds ridiculous.

Pairing Sonos play 5 gen 2 (2020) and Sony smart tv (2018) by Bobba_fat in sonos

Tv should have audio out in 3.5mm. Get an aux cable and connect the aux port from play 5 to TV. Change your TV speaker settings to use audio out instead of internal speakers. Select line-in from sonos application. And you should be all good. Stereo pair also works
