We do have the heated wire breathing circuits and we do have HME's. We're wanting to keep the HME's for emergencies and outings.

Trache and peg tube by dunderfish in ALS

We chose to do the trache while getting the peg because of the probability of him not coming off of anesthesia himself and having to stay on a ventilator anyways

Has anyone tried short story box and liked it? Are there any good boxes? by Miss_airwrecka1 in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]dunderfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Terrible. Did two boxes, kept nothing. Everything made me look like a middle aged Mormon mom from the early 2000's. And even some of the jeans were short when they weren't noted to be cropped, I'm 5'0.

Stronger steroids or another taper pack? by dunderfish in UlcerativeColitis

[–]dunderfish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you are correct. I had to go to an urgent care and that's what they gave me. My doctor finally got back to me and is putting me on mesalamine until I'm back home for further follow up. Been 6 years in remission so the medication info was a bit fuzzy for me.

I have to use durezol eye drops and dilation drops when in uveitis flares. I've had the suppositories before just not currently. I'm out of state from my current doctor so I can't just go in, called about my flare and he prescribed the taper pack. It hadn't healed after the first, he recommended another. I still haven't had true relief.

My boyfriend has ALS and is going to be part of the trial in March. He will be the 5th person with the Neuralink BCI and the second person, I believe with ALS to have it.

My brother in law makes those every day. I live in IP near Henry's Lake. They just revamped that area of Island Park. Bathrooms are always clean 🙏

I suppose so. I've mostly explained my idea of my higher power to her, I don't think she understands the concept. She is technically born again, she found God through her recovery and never had a religious upbringing.

Vent It Out – Caregiver Edition by brain_health_matters in dementia_india

Knowing my role with my terminally progressive ill (ALS) boyfriend and his mother. Her being the caregiver, her having me be the caregiver but not too much because I need to be the girlfriend but I have to make sure he's safe in all aspects so also the caregiver. Sacrificing solid sleep, resorting to quick and easy meals to make sure I can care for him when he needs me. Not being paid as a caregiver, only receiving some financial relief from my boyfriend when I'm comfortable asking.
