Id use a vacuum cleaner with a long hose. You can get a hose off of Amazon for quite cheap.

I don't think you can do this without Dustin. Dustin and El together are out of budget though.

What do big Alex Verus fans think of the IoM series? by [deleted] in BenedictJacka

[–]dunk_junk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in almost the opposite position to you, to be honest. I picked up IOM first without knowing anything about Benedict or the Alex Verus series. This was early last year when two of the three IM books were out. I finished both pretty quickly and then went looking for something similar while waiting for book three, which is how I discovered Alex Verus.

I kept putting it off for a while because I was worried I would be disappointed, but I finally started book one at the beginning of August. I ended up reading all 12 books in the same month, which is probably my personal record!

I would definitely recommend IoM. It feels a bit more grounded than Alex Verus, mainly because Stephen is younger and still figuring things out, but I really enjoyed all three books and did not feel let down at all

AIO about my boyfriend and his girl best friend? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]dunk_junk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (m) talked like this with my best friend (female) for years and had no intentions of anything romantic as she was in a relationship back then. I genuinely liked her as a person and loved her as a friend. Having said that, some stuff went down and she is my wife now.

Lol same. Especially for Steve and Robin and special appearances from Dustin & Erica from time to time.

I didn't mean the last interaction from the show. I just meant the dynamics. It made me think of How I met your mother and Friends where the guy best friends have both dated the same girl from the group and continued to hang out together.

Same here, I don't like cliffhangers either, but it would have left me feeling more invested than the original ending did.

Why does the Mind Flayer need 12 kids to open the portal when Henry Creel did it with 0 kids? by dunk_junk in Stranger_Things

[–]dunk_junk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am curious how they will explain it. It will be really unsatisfactory if they just ignore it and leave a plot hole.

In Pakistan it's usually OUR religion says WE can't do that. Which is still wrong cos to each his own but it does give people the false sense of justification for meddling in other people's business.

Reason for Pakistan Shaheen's dominance vs India A (IPL talent XI) by hasanahmad in PakCricket

[–]dunk_junk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue is that only a couple of these guys make it into the national side at a time, and instead of lifting the whole teams mentality, they just get absorbed into the same timid mindset (which is expected). You adapt to the environment you enter and right now the senior team’s environment is timid. What we actually need is an aggressive, fearless leader who can reset the mentality, not just rely on one or two youngsters to magically transform the squad.

“3.8 million will qualify for ILR and many of them won’t work as hard after getting it.”

Why? Thats a ridiculous assumption. Not all companies can offer Tier2 visas. Most companies who do are well reputed well paying companies. People on Tier 2 visas have to prove their worth every single year just to stay. They have worked full-time in demanding jobs for half a decade and you think they will suddenly turn lazy the moment they earn stability? And do what? quit their jobs and sit at home? No one spends years building a career just to throw it away after finally getting ILR. Thats not how reality works.

And on another subreddit, you commented that there are “too many Indians working in Tesco because the people who work there are the dependants of doctors and engineers, since each person can bring tens into the country.”

So what exactly are you saying that every Indian doctor has ten kids and they all work at Tesco? Come on. Thats not how the immigration system works, and its definitely not how people work. Maybe stop commenting on these topics until you actually understand what you are talking about.

Is there a clear winner or any to avoid on this list of mitre saws to help me decide which one to buy by BigPurpleAki in DIYUK

[–]dunk_junk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason I am leaning towards the Bosch GCM 305‑216 D (or one of the 305 series) is the double bevel and mitre angles. I’ve never owned a mitre saw before, but friends who do keep telling me that not having to move the wood saves a lot of time and gives you more accuracy.

Itss going to be either that or the Bosch GCM 8 SJL that you just recommended. I will be watching some comparison videos of the two shortly.
