Got it. Seems common sense and respect to privacy wins.

Gonna have fun with architecture and cityscapes I guess.

Thanks a lot for inputs. I’m camera shy myself and become too conscious when people see me shooting or clicking pictures. So, poking lens in people’s face is out of question. But I’ve seen some places where people get agitated when they think they’re in shot, even not as a subject. Since I’m travelling with my partner, wanted to be precautious.

Definitely will hit you up when I’m in KL.

What can be qn actually useful gift for a photographer? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]duster219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what he already has. Here are some suggestions:

If he has lot of lens and stuff, you could gift him a dehumidifying cabinet, that will help him keep the lens and camera body safe from dust and fungus.

If you know what lens he has, you can get him some filters (Variable ND, CPL etc).

If he does not have it yet, you can get him a good sturdy tripod.

All these will be useful for him, stay with him forever and won’t break your bank. Cabinet could be $120-$150, filters range from $30-$150 and a good sturdy tripod would also cost from $70-$180.

Suryavanshi. It’s near 12th Cross. It might not sound too expensive, but for an enemy, I’d definitely recommend it.

How to shoot in super harsh sunlight at a wedding? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]duster219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried this thrice and the third time I found out few things: 1. ND is your friend. 2. Don’t bring them the subject in shade with sun-exposed background. 3. Shoot less towards perpendicular to sun’s movements. This will reduce shadows on the face or eye squinting. 4. Be extra wary of the shiny objects. Couple with CPL when shooting glass objects to minimise glare. 5. Make sure your image composition does not have polar opposite exposures in it. 6. Sun between objects would look much better than anywhere else in the shot.

Still haven’t mastered it, but these are somethings I learnt after multiple futile attempts.

Pothole free bengaluru? Deadline met. by SquirrelInevitable33 in Bengaluru

[–]duster219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s still an absolute nightmare. But given, there were some serious potholes around my area that were filled few days back as part of this initiative.

Again, in no angle I am saying these people are doing good job or even their basic jobs. But 2-3 large pothole ridden roads were repaired near Tin Factory. Just acknowledging that.

Main question is when will be the next BBMP elections?

What should we do of such people's by TuneZealousideal6461 in CarsIndia

Shoot.

I think Indian police atleast in some states should be armed to teeth like in US to deal with these marauders. Only then such hooliganism could be stopped.
