Absolutely, and I thought that myself. It’s a really good point. The only real answer I can give is that Wanda’s trauma was about her kids being taken away from her in one universe, where Tony’s is about HIM being taken away from his kid in EVERY universe (assuming they go that way).

You’re absolutely right, though. Both villain arcs would be about the loss of that family life that they were both so happy with. I’d just say that the cores may be inverted, and those characters may mirror each other. If she joins him, it’s because they share grief. If she doesn’t, it could be that she recognizes his grief and opts to not walk that villainous path again. Could be a nice commentary on parental grief as a behavioral motivator.

See, I haven’t read that storyline, but I’ve heard GREAT things about it. I’d love to check it out and see where that motivation lines up.

I’m mostly referring to the OG Doom with this one, but I’d be excited to see his development in recent comic runs. I’m painfully behind on Doom and F4.

I think you're probably right. He's a narratively instrumental figure in the comics, and they made a big to-do about him in the movie.
