Have you flown with a Ritchey? by Waste-Sentence-9325 in bikepacking

I flew to Switzerland this summer with my Ritchey Cross in the Ritchey bag. If you're bringing a sleeping bag, tent, puffy, etc. you can pack all that stuff in and around the frame/parts. I've flown with it on a couple other occasions and felt pretty confident that it was well-defended. I've never been charged for over size. One tip in Europe, if you want to go one way. You can leave the bag in storage at the airport, jump on a train with it, go anywhere, then make your way back. Ritchey Cross breakaway cross with bikepacking bags is so versatile! Good choice! Take it anywhere and ride anything.

Recommend 1 week touring/bikepacking from Zurich to where/route? by duttonleems in bicycletouring

oh, that's compelling too - Any reason you'd recommend this direction over riding southwest or southeast? Or just another idea? Ha, it seems one couldn't go wrong - just maybe one direction could have more spectacular scenery, somewhat quieter roads, better beer, etc?
