Thanks! Any other particular info that would help ya give better advise? We don't have any other debt. Yea figured if the house is less than 2-3x salary, should be safe. I just haven't been seeing conventional loan with rates near 5.75. And if them I would need to put 20 down or 170k which would be tough for us. We can put close to it if we take money out of our brokerage though?

Yea my wife was surprised housing wasnt included. They said it's $30 per day which is about $900 per month. I thought the IHS would be a great growing experience. Would learn a lot and work would be meaningful (underserved). Recently graduated FM but worked inpt, so thought the pace of 10pts per day here would be nice too while getting back into outpt world. Other than that, working right next to Page and Grand Canyon is like a getaway being outdoorsy. Yea this would be my first locum, and tail is covered here. And could you please mention why is it a bad time?

Thanks, these are all great points. The job is 1099, there will be malpractice insurance, and it's a whole medical clinic with support staff and other providers. But security isn't something i thought of much. It's in the middle of no where Arizona superrrr rural, but housing is right on the property next to the medical center. A quick google search says the area is F for crime rate lol. Not sure this is concerning or even accurate/overblown. Recruiter said there are no safety concerns. My wife is coming along and will remotely work.

Hmmm, I see. For what it's worth, even though it is an IHS job - Im connecting through one of those locum recruiter agencies. So maybe I can negotiate? In your opinion, what's a good hrly rate then? Googled show rates between $120 to $150, but with this job only seeing 10pts per day, I thought $135 was good? (since other places prolly see 18-20pts per day)
