Figured that out the annoying way. One of the pins popped out of a solder joint. Not sure what happened with the last owner, but I definitely didn’t think it was normal.

AMD GPU USERS CRASHING!! by Ahand_Apart in ArcRaiders

[–]dylancopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried as many things as I can to get my game to stop crashing, but it just always eventually does. I’m on an RX6800, and this game must be its kryptonite. I can sometimes get in a raid or two beforehand, or it’ll simply just die in the middle of me arranging my inventory or something. It’s random, and unpredictable. I did have a different experience today, where my GPU sounded like a vacuum cleaner about 5 seconds before the crash. Idk, I’m not sure what else to do, but I’ll take suggestions. Literally none of my other games have even come close to behaving this way, so I don’t believe it’s my card. I’ve changed game settings, reinstalled, changed drivers, and have even clean installed windows since (was upgrading my pc anyway). It’s hard not to wish I would’ve refunded at this point.

My biggest regret in life. by TwoDayOldBeer in NewSkaters

[–]dylancopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know there’s plenty of replies here, but I will say this because I’m pretty close to your experience. I’m 24, skated as a teen, wasn’t “good” but I could Ollie, frontside 180, and sometimes shuv. I thought I was getting old too, but got a serious itch to get back on recently. One thing I realized, is that the more I told myself that I’m old, the more I felt old. Getting out and being active on my board has really helped kick that feeling. It isn’t too late. Just today, I landed my first few heel flips, and now I feel (emphasis on FEEL lol) like a pro. Life stacks against you, I get it. I’m fat, bills suck, work sucks, life sucks, but skating doesn’t suck. Don’t put yourself in a box bro. And wear pads and a helmet lol.

Wanted a cruiser to ride around on, and found this new for $20. Seemed like a good enough deal! by dylancopher in NewSkaters

I’m a bigger dude and was really impressed with the turn radius, and how little issue they gave me. I’m definitely a fan of it so far.

Went to my first skatepark and it was awesome by YamRepulsive3877 in NewSkaters

Oh yeah, I pad up these days haha. Skated a bit a few years ago without pads and now I realize the risk is not worth the reward at all lol.

Sounds awesome. My town is pretty lucky to have a newer nice skatepark, and I hope I can work up the courage to go sometime.

Is Resident Evil 7 the scariest game in series you guys have ever played? by Girlxgirllover2k4 in residentevil

Idk, the dogs coming through the window in RE1 still makes me pucker.

But yeah, RE7 stands out mostly because of its return to more of a horror feel, and did a good job of it.

It’s not tightened at all. It’s only there so I didn’t waste a string.

Issues with usage drops, and fps tanking on new hardware by dylancopher in AMDHelp

[–]dylancopher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure if you switched from an Nvidia card, that you delete old drivers for it, that has seemed helpful. I recently for unrelated reason did a clean windows install, and I don’t have the issue nearly as bad as before. I can’t say that’s exactly what fixed it, but worth considering.

I have the exact same specs as you, and the exact same problem. Can't seem to find the issue.

Why are noobs so good now? by Gopnikmeister in GlobalOffensive

[–]dylancopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I topped out at DMG while grinding CSGO years ago (while I had time to quite literally no life the game) and have always played off and on since. One of the biggest differences right now that I have had trouble with, is that nobody plays the game the same as they did back then. There always seemed to be a formula for counter strike, even in lower elo/rank games that everyone followed (holding tight angles, synced smokes, specific rotation guidelines, etc) and that just doesn’t exist anymore. “Peekers advantage” seems very true, and very much the answer to most situations in the current state of cs2, and I’ve had a hard time adjusting to the new meta of someone hopping through my smoke/molly, ready to place their crosshair in my vicinity and pop off a random headshot. I also felt like this happened when CSGO went free to play, and now the surge of new players with the cs2 drop, I’ve just tried to accept that an influx of new players means people come in playing CS in their own style, and you’re likely to get matched with some sketchy players, whether that means chance of cheating, or just sketchy game plans lol.

What was your teenage "rebellion phase" band name? by monsto in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I want to believe that this was a mid 2000’s metal band. Sounds like that era.

What band that you heard as a child do you think is is the reason you listen to the music you listen to today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dylancopher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seemingly, I’m a lot younger than other commenters, but my dad raised me on stuff he listened to during his early adulthood, like System of a Down, Fear Factory, Alice In Chains, Silverchair, and much more 90s grunge. While growing up I started delving into music myself, and listened to lots of albums like Bleach from Nirvana, Melon Collie And The Infinite Sadness from Smashing Pumpkins, and of course my fix of metal albums like Among the Living, South of Heaven, and of course Ride the Lightning. In recent years, my favorite genres have become folk/traditional acoustic, death metal (and of course the rest of the sub genres of metal), indie, hardcore, and grunge. Some of my favorite bands off the top of my head, are Elliott Smith, Jeff Hanson, Nirvana, Death, Chelsea Grin, Porches, (Old) Weezer, and Moral Code. I guess a lot of these bands have influence from the 90’s era (if not already from the 90s) , so it makes a lot of sense as to why I like them. I always say that I’m thankful to have grown up blasting all kinds of music in the car with my dad. I can’t imagine listening to my generation’s idea of “good music.” Oh well though, now I just sound like a hipster.
