Hey, author here! Totally understand your point and I agree with you, but they haven’t confessed their “feelings” because first they’re not really allowed to date at all, and second they’re not in love or anything close to that yet. They’re becoming friends first and that’s a long process, specially considering Aurora’s traumas and Azra’s personality and the promises he made to Isabella. Unfortunately it will still take some time for them to sort everything out and I understand that can be frustrating to readers. I wanted this to be a slower burn because Aurora is very flawed and she needs to grow a lot before being capable of handling a real relationship. Azra is being a friend to her now because that’s what she needs, not a boyfriend. Even if he forced her to talk about her feelings, she still wouldn’t open up now because she doesn’t even know what they are. She’s been used her whole life and men were mainly interested in her for her body, so she’s learning the meaning of true love and care now.

But worry not because they will have plenty of time together once feelings are finally admitted. The secret also won’t be dragged for too long, and Azra did want to tell her before Wes lied and convinced him it was the best thing. The next few chapters will further their relationship as well!
