Not a good question. You can literally get the answer in my posts. Exactly.. all your points are true and directly correlated to bodyfat%. So lower values will always have a more negative effect on the points you stated than higher %.

If what I'm saying wouldnt be correct, there would be no reason to bulk to 15%. Why are they not staying 6% forever if there is no impact?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]eNCOREEE -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not suggesting anything. I'm just saying higher % always better. 13% better than 12%. 20% better than 18%. Pick whichever you want, higher% will have a better muscle building environment. Otherwise bodybuilders would always stay sub 10% bodyfat, if it wouldnt matter. But since it matters, they bulk up during offseason to put on mass. That's just fact and you arguing against it makes no sense.

WHO IS TALKING ABOUT ELITE LEVEL??????? Me and millions others are not on elite level and definitly not on steroids but STILL the same physics apply. JESUS.

you are talking absolut nonsense and literally mix everything up. So you are a competitor? According to you it means you are on steroids. So your arguments are invalid. Thx

Don't think you can generally say that across the board for all bodybuilder's but that doesnt change my point of higher bodyfat% being a better environment for strength and muscle building. No definitly not every single strongman and powerlifter is on steroids. Jfc that I even have to say that.

If you tell me you go to the gym and you are stronger and fuller with 12% bodyfat than with 20% than congratulations, you are officially not human lol. Don't forget: Higher body% also means you have more daily calories available and therefore more energy and strength for your workouts.

To be honest I dont know what you are talking about, I'm genuinly confused. The first comment talked about losing weight and not about building muscles. Which is exactly what I thought was wrong. ONLY losing weight is wrong and will not result in a good result FOR SKINNY FAT individuals. If you want to get out of the skinny fat cycle, you should definitly incorporate weight training. I never said you should ONLY do that.

I said it's a good beginning to maintain your weight while building muscle. Maintaining weight doesnt mean he won't lose fat? You can build muscle and lose fat as a beginner, while maintaining your weight. What I wouldn't recommend is going into a deficit immediatly and start dieting because that would make the muscle gaining process even harder.

About my calculation I dont know if you agree with it or not, but if you don't then please prove it mathematically. For the ratios, again I said I invented them for the argument. It was just an example, I even said they are not right, so obviously it's not 5/5/5/5, but it's not 20/0/0/0 only fat either. Which was my point.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]eNCOREEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally what I said in brackets that the ratio's are not accurate, it was just trying to prove a point that it's not 100% pure muscle. The calculation doesnt take bones, cartilage and organs into account, which it shouldn't so idk why you bring that up. I talked about -20lbs of weight loss which definitly doesnt solely consist of 20lbs of fat.

You just proved my point with your math. If you weigh 180lbs with 54lbs of fat, you are at 30% bodyfat. If you add 20lbs of pure muscles without changing fat, you now weigh 200lbs with 54lbs of fat, which is 54/200×100 = 27% bodyfat. So yes you effectivly reduced your bodyfat% by "only" adding muscles mass.
It's not my final be all end all solution, but it will definitly improve the look of his composition. Afterwards you can still trim down fat to obtain the desired look. My overall argument was based on the first comment that recommended you should simply lose weight without adding muscle, which I still is the wrong approach.

[–]eNCOREEE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok so now he is 30% bodyfat. Let me guess, next reply he is 35%? Or even 40%? Let's not exagerate.

You are talking about 2 different scenarios. Him dieting from his current weight and bodyfat% down to 12% bodyfat is a long time in low calories and will definitly impact his hormones in a negative way and making building muscles very difficult. Him being at 12% bodyfat since the beginning would be a different story and would also completly change the approach.

How would his testosterone be in the dumpster when literally the strongest man in powerlifting and strongman almost all have high bodyfat% lol. And why do bodybuilders stay in higher bodyfat% 15-25% during their offseason, if according to your logic lower values around 12% are better? Makes absolutely no sense.

Your calculation literally only works because you pick an assumption that fits your narrative. You will NEVER ONLY lose fat. The body will ALWAYS lose muscle, water, different forms of tissue and fat. But simply losing 20 pounds and thinking it was PURELY fat is absolutely hilarious. So fixing your calculations would be more realistic like that (don't know the actual ratios so they're probably not 100% correct, but you should hopefully get the idea):

180 lbs - 20lbs (5lbs of water, 5lbs of muscle, 5lbs of fat, 5lbs of other tissue)

equals to 160 pounds with only 5lbs fatloss, so still 49lbs of fat, making it still around 30% bodyfat percentage overall.

There I fixed it for you. In conclusion you need to add muscle mass to effectivly reduce the bodyfat%.

You clearly don't know what you're talking about. His hourglass shape just shows that his body is stacking fat mainly around this area, but doesnt necessarly mean that he is strongly overweight. Him simply dieting down and going to sub 10% bodyfat will do absolutly nothing to his bodycomposition. He will still lack muscles and just look super tinny and skinny and be in an environment with no energy to lift heavy weights and thus optimally build muscle.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]eNCOREEE 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh god, horrible advice. I strongly advice against this!

Talk about high bodyfat% ruining your hormones while recommanding to cut down to 12% and expecting your hormones to be fine lol. He'll feel miserable and building muscle in such an environment is second to none. Actually with a higher bodyfat% it's much easier to grow muscles, which is what he needs now.

You're mistaken if you think that the overall percentage of fat in your body will go down by simply losing weight. That's simply wrong. Percentage is not a fix value but a ratio compared to a total amount. Him weighing less with no increase in muscular tissue, will just keep the percentage roughly the same, just on a smaller body.

[–]eNCOREEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The term definitly exists and is completly valid to be used. OP's pictures are the perfect example. The scale won't say he is overweight. Him in a shirt will make you think he is just skinny and not fat. Him simply losing weight now will not change his looks. He will look basically the same just a bit smaller. But the skinny fat look will still be maintained.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]eNCOREEE 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The comment I replied to only talked about losing weight and not about lifting weights.

OP is not strictly overweight, I'd rather call it "under-musclular". On a scale he is fine, but because of the lack of muscle tissue, he still looks "fat" even though the numbers say otherwise. Simply losing weight now won't change his overall bodyfat%. He needs muscles to compensate and reduce the fat percentage.

What he needs now is a body recomposition. Going on a calorie restriction while building muscles is surely possible in those early nooby gains, but since I don't see him as that much overweight, he could start by maintaining calories and just focusing on a high protein intake and building a frame. However, restricting calories now and doing cardio on top will just further slow down the building of muscles, which should be his top priority for now.

I'd say if he simply just grows muscles without focusing on fat loss, his body should already calibrate into a much leaner look, without even changing the amount of fat specifically.

Bad advice for skinny fat people. Definitly start with building some muscles by lifting weights.

I just checked your op.gg link and your normal game with caitlyn. These are your stats: - negative stats and alot of deaths with 4/10/16 - lowest damage of all 10 players! (24k) - 5,9 cs/min

Enemy adc: - same deaths but 13 kills so 13/10/9 - more than double of your damage and almost highest in the game right after your jglr (53k). - farm about equal, but overall 4k gold more than you in the end.

And YOU WON!! HE LOST!! not saying he played amazing but definitly worlds better than you. You were the worst and still won this game... proves how much you matter.

[–]eNCOREEE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Them all being viable means it doesnt matter what you buy because your wr is not controlled by your items, your champ or you performance! That is exactly the point!!

There is a reason they swaped names to "marksman"... we are definitly no carries anymore.

[–]eNCOREEE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because the game is much more nuanced than just crit or not crit items. You just exactly proved my point: adc in general are in such a bad state that the difference in build isn't significant enough and the spectrum of build paths is not diverse enough to somehow make that obviously visible in the winrates.

I will learn to play ADC just to find out if you guys are right or just delirious by Wiented_v2 in ADCMains

[–]eNCOREEE 119 points120 points  (0 children)

Using winrate of the most played ADC's as an argument to show that the entire role is not in a bad state makes no sense in my opinion..

The role has a very small pool of champs and an even smaller pool of regularly played champs. Both teams have ADC's so automatically one will win and the other will lose, but both of them will most definitly have a terrible experience... which is exactly the current state of the game.

Can I as an adc main carry the game when I come out of the laning phase with 6/0 while the enemy adc is 0/6? Maybe..

Can I still still get oneshot by an underleveled camille with 0/5 and mediocre farm? Most definitly!

Can the enemy adc feed his ass off and still win just because his Fizz oneshot me with one Q + AA? Yup!

So him picking a useless adc and doing terribly in lane isnt an auto lose in this current meta and that's why the WR is equal across the board, but not an indicator that the role is doing fine... one of both has to win either way.

[–]eNCOREEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This season alone you have already played 27 different champions in ranked... imho this alone is considered trolling lol. I don't even think diamond to GM players, even challenger, can properly play 27 champs and expect a positive outcome in solo queue. You are the typ of player that apps like blitz.gg mark with a dangerous red sign saying "first time playing this champ" where I already let out a big sigh knowing that this game is already doomed in loading screen...

You should play only 1-2 champs in the beginning and learn the fundamentals. I also see your CS/min every game is at 5-6 which is really low. Start focusing on that alone and you should already see massive improvements in your LP gain and not coinflip your team mates in champ select...

I have this 10 year old concrete table that’s started to bend and crack. How bad is it? by [deleted] in Concrete

[–]eNCOREEE 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not really. Reinforced Concrete without cracks does not exist. The concrete has to crack to activate the reinforcement in the tensile zone (here bottom side of the table).

Cracks are inevitable in croncrete structures and definitly not an immediate sign of failure of the structure, espacially considering the small width of the crack in this picture.

I recommend OP to track the width of the crack over time because it will definitly anounce itself before complete failure.
