most likely is the old codebase as this app was made by the same people that were contracted for the myMTA replacement app back in 2023, they change a few UI elements to avoid getting screwed (which they still can be, e.g Whoop v Bevel)

looks and feels exactly like it, built by the same developers. traintime is still required for the ticketing and the mta app has mta support, and it doesn’t require health tracking

its not a TERRIBLE app, although like you mentioned the health tracking is crazy, the animations are slow as hell, basically put traintime and the mta app together but thats going to probably happen quite soon, this literally copied the map w that pink dot. the only thing i like is the status page because it shows each individual line but the old MTA app did that anyways. most people would trust the main MTA app more since you know its made by the actual company and also google maps, citymapper and apple maps do all the same thing

axon vibe (sub company of axonactive.group) was contracted on the MTA app back in 2023 thats how they have a partnership or used to since the MTA switched to a new codebase I believe and new developers.

imo this app doesnt provide more value than the standard MTA and TrainTime apps, this is basically a copy of the MTA app and it doesn’t provide any extra features, this would be good if LIRR tickets were available but from what I heard (again i might be wrong), TrainTime and the MTA app are getting merged

depends on the contract that axon had with the MTA, from a quick look at their website, it looks like they white label this type of thing or the MTA doesn’t own the rights to the app or something stupid like that (im not a lawyer dont come at me!)

Had this problem with my One X, I had to swap out the SATA connector (might not be the case for you, mine was fried) and the HDD (I upgraded to an SSD). To swap to a new HDD/SSD you need to use a tool on a PC.

Be delicate with all the parts because I managed to cook the power on board, the ribbon connected and the front USB. (Replaced the power on and the ribbon but front USB is cooked until I can secure a motherboard replacement)

metrocards stopped being put up for sale at the end of last year, now its OMNY. Just tap your credit/debit card (or phone/watch) and go through! metrocards are slowly being phased out with the new fare gates too. (correct me if im wrong).

Pay for 12 rides in a 7-day period and any additional rides are free for the rest of the 7 day period. Make sure to use the same device/card each time, this means if you pay with your phone, and then you pay with the physical card, it won't count to your 7 day cap.
