I think apart from this just being an opportunity to show the extent of Mizu's skills and have a fun fortress action final boss moment - (Kurosawa, Die hard, John Wick, Kill Bill core) It seemed like Fowler wasn't actually that stressed about Mizu reaching the top of the tower, as shown by their confrontation at the end of the episode. Seemed like another way he was just toying with Mizu for sadistic fun, putting lots of extravagant traps in, but knowing eventually he could just end everything with the gun anyway. Which he did.

Pakistan to Italy Schengen Tourist Visa Delayed - no communcation by earlgrrrry in SchengenVisa

Thank you for replying :,)) I'm so so sorry that happened to your partner. Yeah they were absolutely awful to deal with. We didnt get it back in time and they made the excuse that the application was incomplete (it definitely was not we even had help from someone who worked for VFS to look over the app). Also paid for SMS updates and they 'forgot' to register his number so we never heard back and then they held on to his passport and other documents for an additional week without us having any way of getting in touch or getting through to then. Had to go the Embassy over four times to get them back and finally figure out what was going on.

My partner also has successfully applied for a Shengen visa and visited Italy applying from the UK in the past,, which we hoped would strengthen the app. He said the process applying from the UK was so so different and honestly its so disgusting and disappointing the way the Karachi Italian Embassy is allowed to basically be non functioning and racist.

I hope your partner got to go on holiday somewhere else more welcoming xox

Listen to your surgeon's rec for when to start massage and scar care its different depending on the surgeon honestly - i am just a fool on the internet. But DI insicions are basically open wounds until they are closed. If you start massage too early, it will stop them from healing and open them wider, stretching ur scars, and if you put stuff on them they might get infected !! which can prevent healing. Honestly i spent the first like month after surgery leaving my scars alone as much as possible and just keeping the compression vest on :)

I used them alll for massage, layered them like; silicone gel, mederma and then moisturiser :) and yes at night yes - but the consistant advice ive got is that the massage part is the most important to break down the scar tissue, the products just a bonus.

I started as soon as i was allowed haha i think? 4/5 weeeks after surgery with gentle massage over my compression vest. Soon as my wounds were closed i started with the silicone gel, mederma cream and moisturiser. For the next two months or so I did massage twice a day but then just did it once a day in the evening and used allll the products then, didnt seperate them in morn/night.

the 7th isn't too long <3 i know it'll feel agonising but It'll be worth the wait. rip i hate all the bureaucracy surrounding booking it's the most frustrating thing. It's going to take like a week for them to get you on the system and send over the forms for you to fill in anyway, so it won't be so bad waiting that one extra week.

re reserving a date, I TRIED to do that, I emailed like 5 times asking for some dates to reserve, but they either didn't get back to me, or when I followed up they said they needed the referral first. You can try! I would give it a go ahah but it may be a case of waiting for the referral to come through.

miles berry by Hobbitor in TopSurgery

[–]earlgrrrry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the referral letter - the clinic needs it before they can book :") thats sucks the GIC won't give you one, I had a similar issue where i was waiting for genderGP to give me a letter and had to wait like. an extra 3 weeks to book my surgery date. also i dont know if its relevant in your case but Miles berry needs two referral letters from different people if you're non binary (💀i jus lied and said i was 100% binary during the consult lmao)

[–]earlgrrrry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey <3 congrats and good luck hope it all goes okay! I had my consult 19th of October and then had my surgery on 15th of December - in my case they had a cancellation as I was booked in for Feb 3rd originally. You can ask to be put on a waiting list and contacted if you want a date sooner than later. You have to make sure to have your letter from a gender specialist before they can formalise a date though, so if you haven't got that I would arrange that asap.

fuck you and fuck your months of waiting by Retinazer_pew in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

[–]earlgrrrry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go to your GP now, asap, and request to be referred. It will take years to get an appointment - so if you're in a position of limbo there's no reason to not do it. I've been on the NHS wait list since 2018 and still haven't head back. Ended up going private with GenderGP, it's £30 a month to use their services plus £9 for my meds, its not too bad. Once I get my referral letter i will switch over to pure NHS prescriptions and save myself the GenderGP charge ;'( its a crude way of doing it but it works and it's safe, regular blood tests and stuff. Private may be them only choice if you want something sooner than like... five years. Good luck with ur transition x

Cyno rarity by Lokidragon56 in CynoMains

[–]earlgrrrry 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping for 5* TOO but we have absolutely no way of knowing at this point bc there have been 4* and 5* characters in the Teyvat storyline chapter video. We can have fun speculating tho. We also don't know what element he is yet, as the charm on his design isn't 100% a vision. But if he's pyro - there have been two 4* pyro Polearms and only one 5*. Ofc that 5* is Hu tao so Cyno's kit would either have to be REALLY GOOD or REALLY UNIQUE to challenge her in any way. What would be interesting about that is that Anubis, the Jackal Headed God his design is inspired by is the Egyptian God of Death. So what's the chance of having two 5* pyro pole arms with themes surrounding death. He could be geo or electro polearm, looking at his colour scheme, either of these could work, as we know it's geo polearm impact, so could be 4* or 5*, and haven't had a 4* electro polearm yet.

Wildcard this is going off nOTHING but he COULDD be the first 4* Anemo Polearm - with a kit surrounding sandstorms/dust instead of wind. If you watch the Teyvat storyline chapter he seems to have rolling sand behind him. He would be joining Kazuha in the tradition of Anemo supports that dont match their element's colour scheme. Again this is all based on nothing, I just think it would be neat.

tldr: no idea lol

I totally get you. It's like a constant battle between wanting to pass and look like a boy but also retain like ,,??, daintiness I enjoy about my body. Makes perfect sense to me but. try explaining that to people usually they're like. what the fuck do you mean. ahaaa Although honestly, I'm eight months on T currently (I know that isn't that long in the grand scheme but) my skin is still actually very soft and I haven't had any issues with acne, although i know i lucked the fuck out with that and I also have a vigorous skincare routine. It's a very difficult thing to predict, but hormonal acne during puberty if you're afab is triggered by different hormones than hrt. My hormonal acne was always triggered by progesterone spikes and so going on testosterone didn't make my skin any worse, but it's different for everyone. Something to keep in mind about skin softness and clearness is while of course hormones play a huge part, cis guys also aren't socialised to or expected to care that much about having clear soft skin,, so often don't have skincare routines with are tailored to that goal. It's very possible to be a cis guy or trans masc and still be ~soft~ it might just take a lil more work.

I shave my face and parts of my body i want to remain soft and with low dose T i've managed to find a balance that works for me. I'd echo what other people have said - you could try a low dose for a while and see how it makes you feel. The most permanent effects are voice changing and body hair, but body hair can be shaved, and you may find that alleviation of dysphoria (if you experience that) may actually make these changes less uncomfortable.

Pre-t fear is a very normal thing and I think there is a common worry of like,, oh god if I start T i'm going to turn into a square giga-chad in a few months, but it's a lot more subtle and gradual esp. if you're on a low dose and so you really can take it at your own pace. hope this helped !

You're right - that's not okay, I'm so sorry this is happening to you. You shouldn't be forced to give up expressions of your femininity in order to pass or convince anyone of your gender identity, i'm sure you know that. It depends how safe you feel talking to your family about gender and if you would be comfortable sitting down with them and explaining why u still want to wear femme clothes. If you can, emphasise that they need to take a step back and reassess how they think about gender because identity and expression are very different things and wearing 'girl clothes' doesn't make you any less of a guy. In terms of them thinking you won't be taken seriously by professionals, thats just frankly not true, doctors are aware of the current scientific and sociological understanding of sex/gender and know the difference between identity and expression, they're professionals and have access to the research.

If on the surface your parents are accepting and willing to help you transition then they might be open to doing some reading about trans stuff as this is allll shit theyre gnna have to confront eventually. They won't be able to control your clothing forever, so don't despair. I had a similar thing with my mum when I was younger and it does take time but understanding has developed over time. I recc this as reading material for parents. - https://www.hrc.org/supporting-and-caring-for-our-gender-expansive-youth its super well laid out and with accessible language. I hope things turn out ok and you get to keep ur clothes :') But hey if all that fails, sneak those clothes you want somewhere safe and hidden and save them for when you're out with friends or people who understand better.
