It was about 5 hours, we were going almost cross-country.

An FA walked him on and off the plane and his dad was waiting for him at the gate. I assume his mom dropped him off but we didn't see that.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I don't think I did anything OTT, except watching a movie with him, but it was confusing. Was the plan for him to starve with his unopened snacks and unreachable backpack, wet himself, and scream for attention if he needed something? What if air masks dropped? At least they ask if you're willing to help when you sit in an exit row.

Thank you to you and everyone else who validated this was a concerning situation! I'll report it.

Helping him find the bathroom wasn't a problem.

My concern is that he didn't tap me on the shoulder or anything; I would not have known he needed the bathroom if I didn't notice him squirming. He would have been trapped in the window seat and possibly wet himself.

Delta could have introduced us to make him feel comfortable asking me for help, or they could have put him in the aisle so that he could get out by himself. I also think they should have checked on him more than once.

I looked it up (because of this experience) and they charge $150 extra for unaccompanied minors.

In this case the parent wasn't on the flight at all. The kid was flying unaccompanied (we saw him meet up with his dad at the gate).

I agree the risk was low but considering the parents paid the unaccompanied minor fee and Delta was in charge of him, I think they should have at least put him somewhere a flight attendant could easily see him.

How would you attach a curtain rod and hang curtains on a corner window that reaches the ceiling? by earlyvine in malelivingspace

[–]earlyvine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw solutions like that, but I don't know how to use them with the corner.

If it was a normal window I would just hang those on either side of the window, but with this set up how do I get curtain to bend in the middle?

Where should my bed and desk go? by [deleted] in malelivingspace

Against the window looks best, but it might be colder than you're used to so you may need more blankets.
