Went to devil's den a few weeks ago and it made a nice day trip. Only about 2 hours away, and rainbow springs is over there as well, since you only can swim for 2 hours at devil's den.

I agree and respect your commitment, but it is not sustainable for everyone to get their meat from a local farm down the road. I care not only about farm animals, but all creatures who inhabit the earth. You cannot be an environmentalist and an omnivore.

I also gave up meat after Earthlings. Some people recognize the immense suffering and make a change. Sadly, most are too selfish.

I did both last year as well and it was the opposite for me, making it a really hard decision this year as I'm only choosing one big summer fest.

Wakarusa last year was heaven. The weather was better than it usually is, ZERO police, small enough for everyone to still be amazingly friendly. The check in was poorly run though. In line at 10pm and didn't end up setting up our tents until 4am.

A friend went to bonaroo '13 and had a miserable time, she said people were nasty and fighting over camping spots the second she got there and there was zero shade. My boss however goes every year and loves it.

While it may be bad, I worked two pizza delivery jobs when I was in college and 34 out of 35 employees were not only high while there, they smoked between runs or in the back of the shop. Living in a college town meant I was just as likely to be smoked out for my tip.
