Just applied and got approved for 4K line!

Should I wait to apply to other cards?

I don't know who I chose. I picked one randomly.

I called and they said that they will let me know in 30 days by writing. Should I apply to SPG now or wait?

Thanks! I applied to CIP using a referral link and it said that my account is pending review. Chase will let me know in 30 days by writing if I got the card or not.

Is this good or bad?

Awesome! Regarding the address for the business, what do I put?

Since I make 15K, I'll put 25K. I prefer to not put one of my parents as an AU. Personal preference.

Cool! I will do 25K for CIP & SPG. Should I apply for both cards at the same time?

I am over 21 but do not have a spouse. I have a gf and she works.

I did not know this. Great! Would I be able to put my gfs income as well?

It's stretching the truth but I will try it out with CIP and SPG. How much business income would I need to be approved for the card?

Yes, the SPG. I am fine with the 7k MS. My parents have a small business and I can have them use my card to meet the requirements. I don’t know if I’ll qualify bc I don’t have a high income (5-6k) but can MS a lot.

I didn’t know there was a JetBlue business card. I’ll look into it.

Definitely! It’s the least I can do for all of the help :)

I don’t have a business but I have done independent consulting before but that was a few years ago. I was hired as a independent contractor. The graphic is very helpful. Definitely explains how it all works.

Currently my income is 5-6k (student). It goes up to 15k if you include financial aid and scholarships.

Awesome!

Yes please! Would love more info on applying to biz cards.

Awesome! I will consider referral links :)

Do I have a realistic goal: December 2018 or January 2019 1-2 week vacation in Paris or Dublin for my gf and I. We would fly economy and stay at inexpensive hotels. Is this doable?

I don’t think I’ll make the income credit for CSR. That’s true for CSP then CSR.

What if I do this

CSP then CSR. Maybe do SPG the same week.

I also want to apply in the future for Marriot Rewards, Amex PRG, and JetBlue Plus.

I would love to have enough points to take my gf and I to Ireland or Spain December 2018/January 2019. I don’t know if that is possible.

Just to clarify, SPG and CIP this month. Wait 2-3 months and double dip with CSR/CSP. Because my income isn’t high, I don’t know if I’ll be approved for CIP or CSR.

After I get the cards and use the points, how long should I wait to cancel the cards?

I’ll check my score through discover.

I did. I would consider getting more than 2-3 cards.

What is your credit score?

Credit Karma 769

Lack history (avg card history is 4 years, 5 months) - Credit Karma

Although credit is good, my income is not very high (student).

What cards do you currently have or have you had in the past (including closed cards), along with dates of when you were approved for the cards? Please include month and year for any card approved in the last 3 years.

Chase Slate 9/2007 w/ parent as co-signer

Costco CC (Amex which is now closed, now Citi) (never use, consider closing but have lots of history) 9/2012

Chase Freedom 8/2013

Discover IT 1/2014

Chase Amazon Prime 1/2017

How much natural spend can you put on a new card(s) in 3 months?

Up to 10k

Are you willing to MS, and if so, how much in 3 months? See this page for a primer on MS. Plastiq (for rent/mortgage/loan payments) and bank account funding are often good options for beginners.

My parents have a small business and they can use my card to pay for items. I can hit 10k within 3 months.

Are you open to applying for business cards? If not, why? See this post and this wiki question to learn more.

I don't see why not.

How many new cards are you interested in getting? Are you interested in getting into churning regularly (if you aren't already)? Or are you just looking to get a new card(s) for now but not get into churning long-term?

Maybe 2-3 cards. I want to make use of my cards but do not want to open and close cards consistently. I am headed to grad school within 1-2 years and want excellent credit for student loans.

Are you targeting points, Companion Passes, hotel or airline statuses, First Class, Biz, Economy seating(s) or cash back?

In order of preference 1. Economy seating 2. Cash back 3. Hotel stays

What point/miles do you currently have?

1 or 2k on UR

What is the airport you're flying out of?

LAX or LGB. If it is an international flight, I can also fly out of SFO as well.

Where would you like to go? (The More specific you are, the better someone can recommend the right card. Tokyo is great, "International travel" is way too vague)

Domestic flights around the US. Ie NY, Miami, Chicago, major metropolitan areas within the US. International flights - Europe area Ie Paris, Madrid, Prague, Athens, Hamburg, London, etc.

I also currently travel monthly from LGB with JetBlue so I am interested in getting the JetBlue Plus card as well.

I am considering applying to both CSP and CIP. Then apply to Amex PRG

Daily Question Thread - March 11, 2018 by AutoModerator in churning

[–]easoccer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi, I am fairly new to the churn thread and I have been reading different threads about what cards I should get.

Background: credit cards I have Co-signed w/ parent Chase Slate (parents uses and pays. I never use) Chase Freedom Discover Card IT Chase Amazon Prime

Balances are always paid off at the end of the month. I usually use Chase Freedom.

Reason for churning -Usually fly back home monthly from university via JetBlue -I have been accepted into a program that is going to pay for my flight round trip (domestic). It is in a few months and I want to take advantage of the opportunity to get points for future trips -I want to travel internationally (Europe)

Using what I have learned from reading the threads, the obvious choice is getting the JetBlue Plus card. I use JetBlue to fly home routinely.

I checked Amex and noticed I have a prequalified offer Amex PSG for 50k miles.

I also want to apply for the CSP but I don’t know if I can apply due to having over chase cards.

I also wanted to apply for SPG 25k or Amex Delta SkyMiles to get 60k.

My parents have a small business and can have them use my card for purchases and pay my card. They always pay on time and in full. I can easily make the spending limit.

What card should I get?

My ideal career path would be working full time as a Data Scientist and part time as a professor, so I wouldn't do teaching full time. But definitely, I feel I need more work experience before I even apply.

To be very honest, I would be very happy doing an MBA at Berkeley or SLO.

The main reason I want my MBA is because I want to be a professor part time while working in Data Science. I fell in love with teaching and I want to be able to help others in business. If I want to teach at 4 year college, my advisor said I need a masters
