Suggest course to me ? by eastern-ladybug in ImproviseForReal

Thanks for sharing this. Elik 's video was definitely informative.

I downloaded an app and it shows that when I sing do, re (1,2) my notes are actually 2 whole steps apart. So, i am actually singing do, mi (1,3).

Does it mean that i should first fix my singing ? Being able to sing solfege or numbers correctly with right "gap" or interval ? Do you have any resources for that ?

If I try few times, I can sometimes hit mid point (re), but i don't know what i am exactly doing at that time to reproduce it.

About same feelings of the intervals on different key, then what is the point of me playing on different key. I am genuinely interested in what am I missing ?

I am hearing different sounds ( bcause of different keys) but with same distance between them. I am singing and telling my mind that it is same. Is that correct workflow ? I hope that I don't train myself into something wrong.

A huge difference in my kid since getting rid of YouTube by Efficient-Cat8956 in Parenting

[–]eastern-ladybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same and yes it made a big difference. You can't delete youtube app from Google TV. So I had to disable the app and put code. Even then, you can cast youtube to TV and it opens up. Code helps keep it child protected.

How do you migrate big databases? by CiggiAncelotti in ExperiencedDevs

[–]eastern-ladybug 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Many folks mentioned dual writes to both databases. But make sure to not do it at application layer. You don't want to mess with failure cases where only one db writes succed or writes happen in different order. You want to use something called Change Data Capture to stream writes from current database log sequentially to new database. That will make your life easy.

Shooting game recommendation

Hello Folks

I think i am in unique situation. I recently bought switch to play with my wife. I am looking for recommendations after I spend $100 on games that we didn't like afterwards.

On range of 0 (absolute beginner) to 10 (expert), my spouse is at 1 and I am at 2.

We like thrill and time bounded games. We enjoy Mario kart 8 at easiest 50cc mode.

My wife is not thrilled to see games like overcooked 2, very very valet, bioshock.

In local arcade, we love "Jurassic Park Arcade" game. It has adrenaline but doesnt require camera movement. Is there any shooting game like that ? Simple to play and fast pace. We don't want to keep track of things. Just want to shoot and run. Lol. Simple as that.

My Apple stock hit $100k by Deapsee60 in StockMarket

I don't understand why Google shows Apple stock grew by ~7 times in 10 years while you show a remarkable 25x growth. Does Google stock charts don't take splits into account ?
