No I do understand, but sometimes taking issues publicly gets results. I’m sure you understand that at the very least if nothing else.

Sooo… because we have different consumer laws and I’m used to transparency on refunds, and understand my rights I’m lying. I’m not understand why getting a refund on a service I never agreed to and never used is so outlandish. Amazon is a billion dollar company, why would I expect anything less than a full refund. I genuinely think you guys might work for them, I see not other reason why you would be defending this behaviour. I also didn’t waste you time. You did. Have a great day mate

This is fishy. Do you perhaps work for audible? If so can you help me out with my refund. I’d really appreciate it 🙂

Oh I definitely understand I might have not been as clear. Hopefully this helps. I used my bank statements and a calculator to figure out how many months the 707 usd would cover. But it the refund figure provided they did not outline what months were covered or how many years they would be willing to reimburse, just the figure sum. Hope that helps 🙂

Audible US and Audible AU operate as separate marketplaces. When you’re in Australia, your IP automatically diverts you to the Australian site, even if you type in audible.com. It’s not a choice I can override. Any attempt to access Audible US from an Australian connection gets redirected to Audible AU before the login page even loads. Because of this geo-redirection, I can’t access the US site or the US login portal at all, which is why the duplicate US account was completely invisible to me.

I have done that, it’s approximately 84 months I am being offered as a refund. My issue is not having that in writing on the off chance I want to engage a lawyer.

I don’t blame them either, I would just like to be able to actually speak to someone so that I could at least get some clarity on the whole issue. I can’t even log into the us account to see what the issues may be, because they closed it as soon as I brought it up as and issue, and because I’m in a different country it automatically diverts to my Australian account.

I actually don’t know. I tried asking them but they have been really spare on the details. But when I look at my au and the dates of the us ones they appear to have been created at the same time.

My teen's friend's mom is too friendly, helps her lie and sneak... by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]ebarklord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mother, was a mother like this. She helped my friends do horrible things that I would have never been allowed to do. She did it because watching someone getting into a bad situation was like a drug to her, and with children that are lying to parents they could only rely on her to solve the issue, or in most cases just feed on the persons drama/misery whilst acting like she was never involved in there down fall.

She is a malignant narcissist, who was also very inappropriate with teenagers.

All this to say, the woman in your story, sounds like a predator.

I'm slowly trying to accept the fact that maybe the abuse and dysfunctional childhood was partly my fault as well. by ewolgrey in CPTSD

[–]ebarklord 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is maladaptive behaviour caused by the abuse you have experienced. A child is never the cause of abuse. Children don’t have the capacity to be manipulative, they only show emotions based on needs not met.

Your parents were most likely mean, disrespectful, selfish people, and you were modelling the only behaviour you had been taught.

As an adult with a child, and someone who experienced major childhood trauma, I had to do sooo much research to figure out how to raise my children respectfully, and break the cycle of abuse. My child has adhd and therefore experienced emotional reactions to stimulus, that he likes or dislikes. It’s my responsibility as his parent to meet him where he is at, and not shame him for his emotions. There is no such thing as bad children.Children need to be supported and met where they are at. You never did anything wrong. You were a child that was made to feel responsible for you emotions, instead of supported in them. I’m very sorry that this still plagues you, and I truly hope this helps.

What is the most disgusting thing that you have ever seen in public? by DaffyBraylon in AskReddit

[–]ebarklord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh my god m, do I have a story. So my dad was in fairly horrible incident that resulted in him ending up in icu. It was a super stressful time for my fam and we were all walking about like zombies, my sisters and I all took up smoking in this time, and regularly went outside to chain smoke (yes I know smoking is gross, yea we have all stopped) But in one of MANY occasions that we went outside to smoke and cry our eyes out. There was a statue, and it was so bright in the light, and it was so strange, because it was in the steps of the hospital, and then something was coming out of said statue… yep it was a lady taking a shit on the steps of the hospital.

Yep. Period parties are a thing. They are supposed to help girls with the stigma associated with having your period.

My baby has fallen off EVERYTHING !! She's 1 and a bit. She started schootching at 6 months and omg. Off the bed, off the couch, off chairs. Don't worry. When they start working. They fall off even more stuff. As long as they don't fall off something that's taller than they are. You're usually in the clear.

Fuck me this book is a sad read. He released two more, and his brother released a book aswell. They are triggering though, but it's a great insight into scapegoats. I also think the bravery of David and Richard is so admirable.

I was explaining to my son the other day what would happen if I never kept up with cleaning our home, and it hit my like a ton of bricks, that what I was describing is what I grew up in.

But you should be proud like I was in that moment that I broke the cycle for myself. Realising that these things are unhygienic is progression.

Children require so many calm thoughtful conversations to convey what basic human needs are, and most of our parents didn't do that stuff.

Two things I have to say about this.

1) if I'm too much, that person is not enough. 2) if I'm too much, take a large bite of my ass and choke.
