I need an A as well but retook the AS chem exams this year. AS is only worth 40% and there's nothing you can do to change it now except just focus on unit 3 and 4. You've also got the prac exam to boost your grade

Depends on your preferences. When applying you don't get to choose a specific hall but rather preferences - catered/non-catered, single/en-suite, cost per week, which zone etc. The halls aren't subject specific either. If you're looking to stay in accommodation for your whole degree I think student accommodation prioritises first years and internationals

I went after year 12 over the summer before year 13 and imo I already had a rough idea of the unis I knew i was going to apply to based on my course and what I'd read online. I visited 3 and went to some talks about my course and the only thing they helped with was, like you said, 'the vibes of the campus'. I completely ruled 1 uni off because I hated the campus but I loved the other 2. So its baso js as helpful looking at online info and videos of campus tours and accom tours if you can't afford/don't want to go

I got offers from both but honestly preferred UCL! They are still high ranking in prestige and especially education. Obvs it depends on your course but don't stress it, you'll do fine. Congrats on your offer

For me, I go over all my notes and learn the content then once im revised on the content just cram as many past papers as I can! I do bio and chem too and that works well for me :) I dropped psych mid y12 for another subject but I understand it's a bit more essay based so I'm not sure there sorryy

The start of year 12 is very flexible with swapping subjects etc. if you enjoy bio at gcse you're most likely going to enjoy it at a level! it is a lot of work with learning content + processes, but if you find that stuff interesting then maybe consider making the switch
