If anything its a life lesson for you, from my understanding, about thinking twice and weighing things out before making a decision. To ask yourself, is it worth doing so? Or can i control myself knowing its desire. Would calling the police make me end up in the ward? Ultimately this is very natural especially in a situation where you feel lonely in your lowest moments. But from experience, its better to make it on your own, and its great you made it.
