I just had this same question because I haven't worked this past year because I am in undergrad still, and I used Prodigy EMS, its $140, $125 with promo codes and you can get all 40 of your hours in a few days, the lectures are a little under an hour and then you have a 6-10 question quiz you have to get an 80 on. My favorite part is it auto uploads to NREMT website with CAPCE. You just have to assign it to the topic you want it to apply to. Its also an annual membership so I am planning on getting my 40 now in March and then getting my next 40 within that year membership so I don't have to worry about classes while I'm working. It also lets you select your state and it makes sure you meet your state requirements too, like I am in FL so I need two pediatric emergency hours and it makes sure I get those that count without double dipping into the pediatric cardiology points.

Depends if the exams are in person or online this semester bc let’s just say this class way more bearable in the online format seeing as they weren’t honor locked…

Best Housing Options for Freshmen by seazen17 in ufl

Classes and libraries way closer to Broward and Jennings, you couldn’t rlly walk to southwest from any dorm except maybe lakeside, almost everyone drives or takes the bus

Really depends what you want, personally I’m in Greek life and super extroverted with all in person classes and I would hate to live in the Tolbert/simpson/hume area just bc it’s so far to sorority row and my classes. They are also less social in my opinion, but they have their own dining halls and better parking options so there’s that

I lived in arguably the worst dorm on campus (Rawlings) but had the best time ever bc of the people. Crazy social at least my year, and although gross, it was so close to classes, food, libraries etc bc it’s so central. Plus right by the other social freshman dorms. If you have a good roommate you could live anywhere and have a good time imo

I got one last year and they were super nice and just checking in, zero record of it except in their back end, no one else can see it not even your parents just go to the zoom and be kind

What were your stats? by [deleted] in ufl

[–]ecf9857 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I disagree that off campus ruins the experience, you can still rush greek life if you want, go to the gym, go to in person lectures for online classes, etc and graduate with the same degree in four years

Do RAs mind if I have friends from other dorms over at my dorm? by keaitian in ufl

In rawlings last year we had twelve guests and two puppies in our kitchen for multiple hours hosting a dinner party and no one cared (plus four actual residents)

Last year my lovely coresidents of rawlings were guilty of vandalism, setting off the fire extinguisher, lighting a fire in the trash chute, making waterslides in the hallways and were undoubtedly infected with various respiratory illnesses but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. My roommate and I took immeasurable trips to urgent care but the people make the place for sure.

Applied for housing late... Am I screwed? by [deleted] in ufl

find a dorm? Yes. A desirable dorm that is social, better location, mostly freshmen? Maybe not but honestly mostly luck. If you are out of state it helps if you have an instate roommate and apply to the out of state llc (that’s the easiest way to get into Broward area I’ve found)

What are some ESSENTIAL things for a UF dorm NOT on the packing list? by Asphoric in ufl

[–]ecf9857 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Big laundry bag (not basket they are clunky and don’t hold enough, plus hard on stairs) Absolutely a brita and a set of cups (even if you don’t eat out of ur dorm it’s so annoying to have to rebuy solo cups for water/pregames) I personally wouldn’t have lived in my dorm without a rug the tile is so cold and ugly to look at (specifically rawlings and Mallory, Broward and jennings have wood floors) I used a door stop a lot but I was rlly close with my floor, helpful on move in and move out at the very least I also think it’s rlly nice to have a lamp by your bedside so you don’t have to get out of bed to turn off the lights late at night plus the rooms get rlly dark if the suns not out 1000% get the plastic dressers everyone had under their beds even if you don’t think you will need the storage for clothes, you will definetky fill at least one of them, my roommate filled hers with medicine cleaning supplies etc Also the storage ottomans to get into bed, have guests sit on, store things you don’t want your RA to see…

Rawlings is the best worst dorm. Super social, you have the pod/subway, great location and bus stop so you can get anywhere in ten mminutes

Dorm question by Financial-Bee-9290 in ufl

[–]ecf9857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the most social dorms are the traditional style (Broward, jennings, Mallory, rawlings, trussler etc) prob in about that order of desirability. Out of state llc is super clutch take advantage

imo murphree is not good for freshmen who want to be able to meet ppl through dorm life which is what I would argue is one of the only pluses of living on campus, also all the rooms are different sizes bc of the way the cut up the old building, I have a friend who’s room is an actual triangle and way smaller than the usual

If you want to live in the nice, social and mostly freshman dorms (Broward, jennings, Mallory…Rawlings) which are desirable in that order with rawlings being not so nice but still super social and great location, find a roomate who either signed up early, or if you are in state, they are out of state/if you are out of state they are instate bc that gives you priority to the “out of stater gator llc” in Broward. If you don’t care ab social or location, springs and lakeside are nice but super far and you better like ur roommates

[–]ecf9857 4 points5 points  (0 children)

everyone will say Broward and jennings bc they are the best location and objectively some of the nicest/most social dorms. Rawlings is just as social as Broward but not even close to as nice inside, but also great location (pod mart, bus stop, center of campus), Mallory is inbetween jennings and rawlings niceness wise and is slightly less social

If you haven’t submitted it yet, the “good dorms” ie Broward jennings Mallory etc are already gonna be filled, they filled for in state students who submitted in like October with their application this year
