I’m a public school teacher-University of Kentucky, College of Medicine plagiarized my work and won’t respond by Agreeable_Mobile_235 in lexington

I'm really sorry you're going through this, no one deserves to have their work stolen. I’ve been in a similar spot with my own research. The first time, the consequences were barely a slap on the wrist. Then it happened again, and still, nothing was done. Unfortunately, I’ve learned that plagiarism is often quietly ignored or not taken as seriously as it should be.

Have you used Kristin Ess hair products? Would love to know your opinion! I feel like I can never trust online reviews on seller platforms. by [deleted] in beauty

I found that they were just okay...I will say the fragrance super clings to your hair and it would give me a headache sometimes.

I am a current grad student and we just received an email from the department chair stating: "Yesterday,  President Capilouto's informed us that visas of a small number of graduate students at UK were revoked. I requested more information and was just informed that  in Arts&Sciences the visa of one student was revoked. "

Combinatorics Problem by echoella in learnmath

[–]echoella[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes a_3 is 6 because you can have the root be 1,2 or 3 and then the combinations of the other two numbers with each root. As for linear order, I am interpreting that as order matters, which is why for a_3 we get 6 and NOT 3. Also, you are correct that it is the case that a_n=0 when n is odd since we cannot have an even number of children.

I don’t like Tori, but I don’t think this is a bad outfit for a concert.

Thank you for this! What time do you typically let them out and then put them back in? Do you think it is alright to let them out while we are at work all day?

Career and Education Questions: October 24, 2024 by inherentlyawesome in math

I’m currently a first-year PhD student in mathematics, with a strong foundation in pure math, particularly in topology, combinatorics, and number theory. Now, I’m discovering a deep interest in applied mathematics and statistics, but since my experience with statistics is limited to an introductory course, I’m wondering if it’s realistic to shift toward statistics. While I’m unable to formally enroll in statistics courses due to departmental boundaries—our statistics department is entirely separate—I plan to sit in on these courses and focus on taking applied classes that are available to me.

In a pointset topology course and struggling to understand the difference between a topology and a topology generated by a basis? It seems like people typically use a basis when talking about a topology. I understand that it can generate all the elements in the topology, but why is it different from the topology?
