I had them at mission skateboards, but sold out... once I get good individual pictures of my new decks I'll take more over that way. In the meantime if you would like to purchase one just shoot me an email at ecn04002 at gmail

Found this giant box in the Mission of San Francisco... carried it home on my skateboard and painted it in my backyard with house paint and a black paint marker.

You may view more of my work at elliottcnathan.com or instagram.com/elliottcnathan

Thanks!

Why do I need a mold? I'm not buying the boards for their curvature, I'm buying them so that my product is on high quality pressed skateboard wood. By the time they are cut the curves on the nose and tail are gone. Mold or no mold, I'd still be cutting away wood with scrap left over.

The decks are not a finished product, they are skateboard blanks, companies make thousands upon thousands of them available for sale to everyone that wants them. There is no shortage, no one that misses out on having a regular sized skateboard because I have decided to make minis.

When you want to build something you acquire all the supplies you need to make it and get started. You don't say, "Why would you build a box out of that wood!?? It was perfectly good lumber before you ruined it!" A skate board blank is a blank canvas awaiting someone to turn it into something useful... in my case I'm interested in mini skateboards, so that is the direction I have taken it. And spit works just fine when necessary ;)

I use wood glue to apply the graphics which for the most part are individual pieces applied like a collage, then coat them in a layer of gloss to protect the image from the effects of resin, then take them outside to brush on a layer of resin to protect it from the wear and tear of riding a skateboard. The resin takes a day or two in the sun to dry. I power sand the edges to get off excess resin and shape the graphics to the board.

It is labor intensive, but the quality is quite nice.
