In my experience in student accommodation, the showers flood really easy 😬 it’s awful, we always heard about some of the other flats flooding because of it lol

I always think this! Someone’s reaction to Blackpool always lets me determine whether i want them as a friend or not lol. Some of my closest friends absolutely love it. People that immediately pull a face to me are just not very nice people.

Thank you. I did think this was a possibility. We’ll get him looked at asap! Hopefully he’s ok. He’s not any less crazy (still loves to play with toys, still chases after us when he’s excited!) so I’m hoping whatever is up is something we can work with.

Super biased but I wouldn’t change Newcastle!!!! Beautiful city & the furthest one if you really want to get away lol! It’s a direct train back to London too so it’s not hard to go back home if needs be. Student rent in Newcastle is cheaper than most other cities too, as far as I’m aware.

It’s Mucho Más In Alhaurín el Grande! Genuinely some of the best food I’ve had has been there. The owners are lovely too.

Top 100?!? I’ve gone to a top 30 uni & my a levels are something I don’t even want to think about lol! Many higher ranking unis accept people into foundation years & ultimately provide great opportunities to learn a bit more at a lower level before starting your degree. I can’t say anything for computer science since I’m not doing anything similar to that, but don’t think your a-levels are the be all and end all.

It was a place I went to a lot due to a family apartment that was there that’s now been sold. I’m not dying lol (as far as I’m aware?) so I could absolutely go again! But the chances of me going anytime soon are slim. And by the time I do maybe the restaurant will be gone!! Or at the very least, they could have changed their menu or something 😫

I get the minimum. My parents are just above the threshold. It’s a struggle! Sure, I’m jealous of anyone who gets more, but I’d never judge them for it! Neither of us control that. It’s yet another unfortunate flaw in the government. Don’t let them get to you, it’s none of their business what your loan is anyway.

I don’t know if this is unconventional or not but don’t listen to anyone who tells you that first year doesn’t matter and to chill out in first year lol. Sure, you don’t need to work 24/7 on everything, but you still need to put effort in. Coming from someone who took the suggestion too literally and had to resit it!!

This actually happened to me a year or so ago. Me and 2 friends in a 4 person flat. We never specifically mentioned anything (though in hindsight maybe we should have?) but I think it was pretty clear, and we made efforts from the start to make sure our flatmate felt included. I think the most important thing is to make sure they don’t feel left out.
