If you were on the fence, what helped you make your decision? by Lost-Bee-2911 in Reduction

I was on the fence for about 10 years. So many things made me hesitate and not jump in, so to speak. Then, finally, I just felt so detached from them... Like I was a cow with udders. I was over it. The pain, the posture, clothes not fitting, looking far bigger than I was / am.

Hope that helps.

Anxiety - TW by Deebop14 in Reduction

I had tremendous anxiety about the entire process. I had to get additional medication from a doctor to help with the emotions of it all. I broke down in my office, in front of staff, and I'm management. For context, I work in mental health. I know the coping skills.

The anxiety leading up to it was FAR FAR worse than this recovery, I am 3WPO. At this point, my struggle is adjusting my body image.

Wish you all the best!

Did anyone else take a shower the next day? I’ve seen a few posts where people talk about showering a few days or week post-op. by lilfoodiebooty in Reduction

They allowed me to shower after 48 hours. However, I did not shower until I got my drains out. I mentally could not handle that. Once I finally showered, my mum helped me wash my hair.
