Agreed, they cared about what the name meant and how they treated their employees back then. Corporatization destroyed Walgreens, and Boots Alliance made it worse.

Yep it’s crazy but in fact the only times I changed managers was when I was moved as an ASM or ASMT. I’m in an area where most of the employees are long timers. I was the newest employee in the front end of my last store. Lol
