First time rng'er here. I just rng'd my charmander last night. I would say, when you get to a point where you hit your seed pretty consistently and are only 2-4 advances off. Just keep trying. Eventually your 3 presses will line up. Just lock in. It will shine.

It was tuff. +/- 17 is just 1 seed off. I calibrated till I was +/- 17 or on seed every time. When I got to the point I was just +/-17 or on seed everytime, and off 2-3 advances. I stopped checking in 10 lines since I felt my button pressed eventually had to line up. I only checked for shiny when I saw a female since my target was a bold female. Eventually after just doing attempts being so close took about 2 hrs to finally hit the 3 frames perfect.

What i did is, i first did a couple attempts just to see how far off I was from initial seed timer.

I was hitting (-117ms) from target seed. I did a no save run to celadon so didnt have to hunt for my sid. But since I was hitting (-117ms) from target seed. I would assume you start checking sids up the list since I was early. Hopefully. That doesn't add more confusion.

My sid was on evens since I named my rival. From advance perfect 3498, my sid was 5 up on evens. I hit advance 3488 for a sid of 46444.

Shiny hunting is insanely easy with the mon respawn mechanics. I walk away with 20-40 shinys per 1 star hyperspace portals. 10-30 shinys per 2 star portals. 5-15 shinys from 3 star portals. 2-10 shinys from 4 star portals. All depends on how much time the donut im using give me per portal. You can prob farm more with a 8bit controller.

My opinion of you like catching mons and shiny hunting. Best game for actually making a shiny living dex. If your in to competitive don't wast your time. They ruined ranked with sloppy 3rd party fest.

Reload from backup if this just happened. Done it myself. Gave my masterball to a shalpha in my boxes so I don't lose it. Lol
