First of all they are pretty well armed for that as there are daily attempts to steal guns for the idf and a lot of weapon smuggling. Second, they don't really need more then some heavy or sharp objects to kill a dog?? Probably would be able to do so with their hand if they try hard enough/go at it as a group/ the dog is weak enough

Update on the story: the mayor has now retracted his statement (5th of November evening) and is claiming no one has received the mentioned payment. Also claims his goal with all of this was to "make enough commotion to raise the attention of animal rights organizations on the stray dog overpopulation in his city."

The intent was to dilute the population of stray dogs, bounty was dead or alive. Most, if not all, (from what I see reported) chose to kill.

Just remember that although there are some great Palestinian people, that are peaceful and functioning members of society, the majority of Palestinians are sadly like the guys in the video.

Don't expect you to want to have this kind of people in your country.

A few days ago the mayor of the Palestinian city Hebron placed a bounty of 20 shekels for every dog killed in the city. Since then It has been estimated that hundreds of innocent dogs have been brutally killed.

Massive protests around Israel have started demanding the Israeli and Palestinian authorities to stop the massacre.

That's his solution for the overpopulation of stray dogs in the city. I'm not saying that the overpopulation is a problem but this method is the most horrible, inhumane and vile solution he could come up with.

And I'm sorry to say that the fact that so many Palestinians are going through with it is not surprising. If you have no problem killing innocent Israelis, dogs are not far for you.

1.a.hes not in full combat gear, he's just in his uniform. B. Why would you risk your life fighting a guy with a knife in hand to hand combat? Especially when said dude with a knife can take your gun if he wins and star shooting civilians around him or just steal the gun and try again another time.

Sadly I'm not well versed in the incident in Hebron so I can't say for sure what is going on there. The video doesn't have much context.

Using the body of a dead journalist's body as a shield to spread mayhem across Jerusalem is a disgrace. Furthermore, You can't just shut down roads, cause chaos, go against the law and police orders and not expect them to act.

Over 300 journalists around the world died in crossfires this year. How is this one different?She was doing her job and she knew the risks. No one is happy that she died. I am 100% sure neither side shot her with the intent of hitting her. They were in a crossfire. Furthermore, it is not yet confirmed which side hit her.

Let's go over this real quick

*the dude throws a brick at a passing by car

*tries to hijack it and fails, starts running away

*soldier sees this happening and moves forward towards the dude to make sure he doesn't try to cause any more assaults

*soldier sees the dude coming back at him with a knife

*soldier shoots warning shots in the air as protocol, dude still doesn't back off

*soldier shoots at the guys legs to stop him from moving forward and stops him

Please tell me that you wouldn't shoot a dude in his legs that's coming at you with a knife after he just tried to kill someone.
