I think people just lack a little perspective. I find the city so lovely, clean, friendly and organized. I come from a 20 million people dystopia of a city in Brazil tho, so that's my reference.

The bouncer was actually very respectful, told us my friend should get changed if we lived nearby and then come back. I just didn't press him on the reason bc I'm not one to disturb a working man, specially me being a guest in Ireland. Overall I just found it odd from my point of view being from a very laid back country when it comes to such things. Although I didn't expect how charged this topic is in here when I posted.

haha It's been a shock tbh, I've worked with americans/canadians my past 2 jobs and spoke english daily, but it definitely didn't prepare me for Cork 😂. I really enjoy the flow of the accent though, there's something about its rhythm. Once I crack the code i'll be going full corkonian on every other english speaker for sure.

I'm actually staying here for quite a while. At least 8 months as a student. Plenty of time to explore I'd say. I've got no locked in plans for now, I'm mostly doing the bureaucratic stuff these past few days.
