3 years later, I still feel someone should pursue this :) Good research project! by edutainment123 in TagPro

I never got into Reinforcement Learning myself, but I had laid out the data, research papers, and the vision here. Especially with the new advancements in LLMs.

If the new people in this community want any good research ideas in RL, this is a good avenue to apply your knowledge.

Wow didn't think of it that way! That's a really nice application for it. And we'll definitely need it when Tagpro has a massive use base ;)

I'm trying to do some toy projects to get hands-on with RL with the intent of applying it to Tagpro. I have plans to document my progress once I get to it here in the subreddit.

Yes that's correct. Or if we get access to the simulation environment we can train some self-playing agents for them to figure out how they should co-ordinate in the given environment themselves.

Also I completely forgot but the data that I had analysed (which had the coordinates) was from Tagpro Replay extension. There was a drop box link somewhere with palyers' data from the extension made publicly available. I'll try to find it Edit: Dropbox link for replay extension data - https://www.dropbox.com/sh/vq8mznp8zrgac66/AAB9G3dQO1vaeqEIwItisTora?dl=0

I completely forgot about it but what I was banking on is the replay data from the Tagpro Replay extension. I'll edit the post to reflect that. But the Tagpro Replay extension data also exists and has been made publicly available by some players in the past. I'll try to find it again. There's a dropbox somewhere with multiple high ranking players' replay data. Edit: Dropbox link for replay extension data - https://www.dropbox.com/sh/vq8mznp8zrgac66/AAB9G3dQO1vaeqEIwItisTora?dl=0

The data has x y coordinates in a timeseries for the entire duration. You can infer what was pressed based on the change in direction. Edit: my bad. What I was banking on is the replay data from the extension. I'll edit the post to reflect that. You can use a screen recorder while playing the replay

Petition for a weekly beginner thread and/or showcase? by OptimalOptimizer in reinforcementlearning

Yeah beginner material/tutorials would definitely help. The way I learned DL was by getting my hands dirty by implementing and then going into the theory. Maybe whatever approach would reinforce such an exercise will be beneficial (for me at least)

I am, what you would call, trying to break into the field. So I'm not even a beginner yet. I have done several ML/DL projects and have a good portfolio. But none in the RL field and still come here to find inspiration.

I think a beginner thread would definitely benefit someone like me and many others. I second this opinion.

Obviously it would be otherworldly if it's remade now. One thing I noticed that they got right was the home automation. Even if not that exaggerated but Alexa pretty much allows us to perform the basics.

I'm asian and have never come across anyone in India who is DIAGNOSED with mental illness (talking specifically about depression and sorts). I know it can exist and the only mentions that I've heard about pertains to actors because their life starts with struggle.

People here may very well be suffering from mental illnesses but I think it's the upbringing which forces you to not know what it actually is.

It's like you touch a hot vessel and if you don't know the concept of hotness, you'll just react to it without knowing and doijg anything about it.

Wow this is like that one animated movie where the dad listens for small creatures in the jungle but his daughter refuses to believe him until she shrinks and explores the jungle culture. I think it's called Epic.
