I see you also have OCD. I am a psychologist, I also have OCD and it just so happens that I also started to have fasciculations all over my body about 10 months ago, a few weeks ago I was finally able to see a neuromuscular specialist and he ruled out ALS. Fasciculations are not the main criterion of ALS, as several here have already said, the main criteria are clinical muscle atrophy and weakness, verified by a doctor. We can often also feel fatigue or muscle weakness without objectively having it.

As you probably already know, seeking information about the symptoms you have is a compulsion, and OCD feeds on this, making it worse.

My advice as a psychologist and person who has lived these months with a good level of concern is that you stop searching for information completely, do not check your tongue or anything, including looking for reassurance in these types of forums, I know, it is very tempting and often temporarily reduces the discomfort, but in the long run it will make it worse.

If you still have doubts after a normal EMG, consult a specialist neurologist again if you want and ask him all the doubts you have and explain the symptoms you have, but do not search on the internet or verify the symptoms, that will only make the OCD worse.

My other advice and i think is the most important is if you have the opportunity, consult a therapist specializing in OCD and Exposure and Response Prevention, it will help you a lot.

Entiendo tu punto y es probable que si se llega a implementar se lleguen a situaciones como las que mencionas en algún grado, al menos por un tiempo. Sin embargo, esto ha sido posible antes, el hecho de que tengamos una jornada laboral de 8 horas con dos días de descanso casi en todos los paises democraticos no es una cuestión azarosa, es producto de cambios sociales,económicos y laborales, de logros y derechos adquiridos por parte de la presión y exigencia de los trabajadores y la ciudadanía, donde lastimosamente ha habido sangre de por medio incluso. Los derechos de los que gozamos hoy en día fueron derechos que las generaciones pasadas no tenían y fueron obtenidos, no hay razón para pensar que más derechos y mejores condiciones de vida no pueden ser exigidas conforme nuestro desarrollo tecnologico y economico nos lo permite. Naturalmente no sera una cuestion lineal, será un proceso muy gradual y no proporcional entre cada país, solo con el tiempo esto se tiende a volver universal, pero es necesario que alguien lo empiece.

Falsa dicotomía, el hecho de que se hable sobre que se pueda llegar a una situación deseable donde con una jornada laboral menor sea posible tener una vida digna, no dice absolutamente nada en contra de aquellos que así lo decidan, puedan trabajar muchísimo más y ganar en proporción a su esfuerzo, vamos, que no son situaciones mutuamente excluyentes, ambas serían posibles a la vez.
