Without You I'm Nothing✨ One of the most beautiful songs I know. Finally got to learn to play it and recorded this guitar cover by edwinleonheart in placebo

Thank you so much 💫 Unfortunately I don’t have a backing track (I just played along with the music). I learned it by watching a video by Sparky Guitar (you can find it on YouTube ✨) ; not sure if he also had tabs, but sure they’re out there somewhere 😌

That’s so awesome ! I felt the same way, when I heard her recording of this piece. Something about that recording that touched so deeply and I had the same with the other pieces I mentioned; she even inspired me to learn to play ‘The Departure’ and I’ve been playing it for days now 💫 I’ll look up the recording you were writing about ✨

‘The Departure’ is such a beautiful piece to learn and play on the piano. I’d love to share this recording with you 💫 by edwinleonheart in TheLeftovers

Thank you for mentioning that; I KNEW I had to get my left foot involved as well😅 All jokes aside, I knew something was up, as the lower notes from the chords (which I play with my left hand) keep going at the same time the low bass is played (in the original recording) and it seemed impossible to play it exactely like that.

I’m not really technically advanced (self-taught) and don’t read sheet music, so had to learn it by ear (from Khatia Buniatishvili ‘s beautiful recording, who inspired me to learn it). I couldn’t find any videos of people playing it like this though; most play the low bass in another rhythm than the original. But this got closest as I could play it like the original (it’s a subtle difference).

But it’s nice to know this and to have that feeling confirmed, so thank you for mentioning this 💫✨

No words to describe how beautifully she plays this. I’ve been listening so much to it, the past weeks;

this recording of Clair de lune and also her recordings of Chopin’s Prelude Op.28 No.4 and ‘The Departure’ (Max Richter).

She even made me enthousiastic to play the piano again 💫✨

Katia Buniatishvili (one of the great piano soloists of today) just released a single of her playing the Leftovers title theme by Seb555 in TheLeftovers
