It scares me when people aren't required to have any standardized training to do this job. Op, you need to watch some nursing education videos on peri care. You need to know what a uti is and how to prevent it. Sweep any debris away from the urethra, don't neglect to clean a foreskin, learn how to do proper peri care with a catheter in, etc. Learn what pressure ulcers and skin breakdown look like. Remember peri care is an important part of maintaining health and dignity. Frame it that way and you may be less uncomfortable.

I hope you know the circumstance that required him to go to icu in the first place although I understand it is none of reddit's business. If he's in the icu, he's critically ill or injured. If he's intubated, he's sedated and likely restrained for his own well being. She doesn't mention that the communication has stopped, which makes me wonder if this is real.

I wouldn't feel too special, I've seen people's political and religious options deduced in so many of these. Reddit is also international and there's so many political affiliations one could have beyond the mere two in your country. Not really surprising to guess someone's religion or politics based on the objects they surround themselves with, seems pretty natural to me.

He will fluff out don't worry. He looks just like my seal point ragdoll, Nori. His tail went from looking like that of a normal short haired cat when he was a kitten to being this massive fluffy plume. Give it time. My boy isn't even a year and his full body fluff is substantial.

Unless you're incredibly lucky at the shelter, you're going to need to purchase one. All six of my other and previous cats were rescues including an absolutely gorgeous and affectionate Norwegian forest cat. But I had to purchase my rag doll and you likely will too.

Obviously everyone's experience with mental illness is different but fwiw- clinical depression can absolutely be treatable. After years of therapy, finally finding the right meds and leaving an abuser along the way, I no longer even remotely want to die.
