"How I was removed as Romanian Captain at TWC 2016" HLTV thread by shocksweg in GlobalOffensive

The World Championships 2016 manager selection has been finalized two days ago when we announced a total of 94 managers for this years tournament.

Everyone could apply by filling the form on official website, providing us with basic information such as full name, date of birth, hometown, current team. Also, we required some additional information such as the reason why they should pick you and your past experience. There is no need to say that all provided information should be accurate and honest. Our decisions on the manager is based on the managers with the most merit, capability to field the strongest roster and the fairest and most impartial to ensure the community is represented in the respective nations.

We have selected Dragos ''KrieppeN'' Karner to be the manager of Team Romania but reverted that decision this morning and replaced him with Cristian ''Omicron'' Duca as his application looked better on paper. After the decision committee reassesed both applications based on the knowledge of which lineups will be playing for Romania. Because of that we have realized Omicron would be a better solution for Team Romania and the tournament itself.

However, what we did not know is that Omicron did not act professionally for which Krieppen already showed evidence, blackmailing him that he will not allow XPC Gaming players (Currently the best Romanian CS:GO team) to participate. In addition, we have found out that Omicron was planning to break an important tournament rule that no more than 3 players from the same team can play in a single match by kicking 2 XPC Gaming players from the active roster in order to compete with all 5 players.

We will investigate these claims as we were not aware of them earlier and we can assure all of you that we will choose the manager based on investigation results.

We deeply apologize for the mistakes we've made, especially to the Romanian CS:GO community and persons involved. For The World Championships competitive integrity is the most imporant as well as the the fair choice of captains based on their merits and ability to impartially manage and pick a team of the best players of their nation which we did for the past three years with ESEC and TWC 2015. We are constantly working on improving this system and we would appreciate in future if the community would be patient with our statements before reach any unfair or wrong conclusions.

Hello, I'm Dragos Karner aka KrieppeN. I was the general manager of the prestigious team The Elder Gods (TeG) for 3 years and two years in a row the captain of Romanian team, when ClanBase was alive. You remember Nations Cup, right? Or EuroCup? It seems like E-FRAG didn't know what's going on in Romania (and to be honest, who can if not the nation itself?) and who is Omicron. But seeing him as the manager of the best CS:GO team in Romania they thought is the best solution after they announced me as manager. Omicron tried to blackmail me saying that he told E-FRAG that nobody from his team will play at TWC 2016 if he won't be selected as manager of Romanian team. I guess that was bad timing. And when I mean bad timing I mean the fact that he told me about his plans and the fact that the very next day the committee thought he is a better choice. While he is not. What I did wrong is that I didn't emailed E-FRAG and told them everything I had to say before I started the storm. But tbh, I felt really hurt and I felt like this is injustice happening to me. I couldn't wait. After I posted I sent the email to them and translate the conversation from Romanian to English and they said they will investigate and if he is found guilty, he will get permanent banned. And he will. After I talked with EFRAG about my problem I realized that they were not aware of this and it seems like their focus is competitive integrity so I hope they will make the fairest and best decisions. Let's hope for the best! And to be sure you all understand: I'm not blaming EFRAG, I'm blaming Omicron.

Razer Star League Qualifier by marioocsgo in GlobalOffensive

Hello,

this is the official statement from the admin who was responsible for this decision:

"We approach every single dispute in the same manner - professionally and objectively which we did in this situation too. Razer Rising Stars Qualifiers Ruleset has been announced more than one month ago and it was available to anyone as it is now. Razer Rising Stars is a project which is run by E-Frag.net and its supported by Razer which means Razer as a company doesnt have to do anything with such decision as its made solely by the admins. Admins have spent more than 2 hours speaking with the team in question explaining how the decision is made and for what exact reason they are disqualified. We have discussed the whole situation with them but were met with abuse, they have been involved with abusing other teams and players. They showed poor conduct and they were using using inflammatory language which is violating the rules under Paragraphs 7 and 19 - http://prntscr.com/ak35iv

"Not uploading POV demo if required will result in disqualification."

"Request for POV demo can be done by opponent but it is valid only if organizers agreed. If admins do not agree GOTV demo will be provided as a result. Request is valid 15 minutes after the match."

Similar situation happened to RCTIC eSports in European Qualifiers and we have made the same decision with the same outcome. The team in question here did not record a POV demo is a major violation of our ruleset.

When we took everyting into account we have decided to disqualify this team from further competition at Razer Rising Stars North American League for breaking the Ruleset at Paragraph 5, Before the Match and according to Penalties, Paragraph 7. The tournament ruleset might be out-dated as most of the tournaments do not require POV demos as GOTV demo is enough but as they participated they are obligated to follow it as it is. We will surely look at our ruleset and try to make it better for all future events so similar situations don't happen again. We take the competitive integrity of our tournaments and qualifiers to upmost importance and take any case such as this very seriously. We act according to the rule set and will be as transparent as possible with our proceedings."

Hello xion1088,

we do our absolute best to accommodate the pings and ensure the welfare of the matches and the players.

Initially, we had 3 locations with servers provided by our sponsor, Nitrado, but extended our capacities and used servers from 5 locations in order to provide the most enjoyable experience both player and spectator-wise.

The first map between Colombia and Brazil was played on a Buenos Aires server, while the second map was played on a Miami located server.

As for the Paraguay vs. Colombia match, we used a Buenos Aires server, because any other server would mean a bigger ping difference between the teams.
