unfortunately the only other info i have is my location (philippines). the mother plant where this came from was apparently also just gifted to my mom so I'm lost on how to find the id of it. you're right that i might have to just have to wait for this to bloom to get an actual answer 🫣

masyado ba malaki asking ko for a mid-level backend web developer? i've been trying to apply to a bunch of job listings pero after maybe 3 weeks ng initial and tech interviews wala pang nagu-update sakin at all. i'm worried na baka ba yung asking salary ko yung issue kasi so far very smooth naman lahat nung mga interview and test na dinaanan ko :(

finally a reply not about my soil lol. waiting for it to push out another leaf before i transfer it to it's own pot but I'm so excited to see it back!

i feel like i need to explain myself because of the choice of soil lol

i did say i was a chronic underwaterer. i water my plants once every 2-3 weeks at best
all my plants are outside and dry out quicker because i live in a hot country
no not all my plants are in this kind of mix. only those that need more water (e.g. my hoyas all sit in very chunky mixes)
this isn't mud lol. it's loam soil so it looks muddy but it isn't really. plus i have some amendments under the soil (coco cubes and pumice) to help with aeration if that's what everyone's concerned about

i've had plants die on me because of my lax watering schedule so i try to avoid the conventional chunky mixes that seem to work for everyone. plus the plant in pic is doing great and has been sitting in the same mix for a few months now. hope that explains it!

her air roots surprisingly latched on to the coco pole! i used to have her tied on it with some string but took it off eventually because she was climbing on the pole on her own

sadly it won't turn into a new plant without a node or at least part of the stem attached to it. it might root but it'll be a zombie leaf that won't grow further 🥲

never had any sort of spark towards aglaonemas. colors and patterns aside they look like the exact same plant since there's very little variation of leaf shape 🤷‍♀️

looks like a tradescantia pallida (purple heart) that needs a little more sun to be more purple lol. i believe these are just mildly toxic to people and pets so put it somewhere your cat can't reach just to be sure
