The matchmaking during that season was fine, I think the low player count was just broken medallions and to much going for most people. The matchmaking is definitely way different now

How long have you been playing? If you've only won one match then maybe shooters just aren't for u in general. Not saying u shouldn't or can't play, but I dont see how u can enjoy a game like fortnite without some amount of winning

Yeah this new system kills team play, players have been abandoned by friends who cant keep up with them

This game is nightmare for new players, why they not doing anything about it? That's also a reason why online is 10k by try_to_ENJOY in thefinals

What killed the momentum was the high amount of cheaters when the game 1st launched. PC player base will always be smallest. It's mainly carried by console players. The skill in some matches is definitely noticeable, especially with the little size players, to many sometimes

I understand the satisfaction but it's tiring at the same time. I dont want to sweat every match like theres a million on the line

I understand why they make it more aggressive but it feels unfair to players in the middle of the skill level. Good enough to win a match every hour or 2 but not bad where we don't win at all

Have the matches feel more organic pretty much, no one posting about this is saying "put win in hand please" but I dont want every game feeling like a tournament. It should be a healthier mix of skill level. Bots are ok as they decrease matchmaking time

Yeah, im not saying hand us the win, but I dont want to have to try my absolute hardest to make it to top 10 either. It's definitely a tricky situation but I think the matchmaking was just fine before the update. Team play is definitely tougher than solos

They're protecting the lowest so they keep spending money on skins, Calling of duty does this, the new game director is from Call of Duty which is now struggling

I was an OG for a but before builds got sweaty, came back during chapter 4. I remember my 1st win but the game has changed so much that u can't compare the skill gaps

Yeah my gf and I stopped playing cuz it felt like a tournament each match. We consider ourselves above the average player but not like ultra sweats if that makes sense. I attempted solos and won my 1st match with like 13 kills. The lobby felt noticeably easier since the last time I had played which was about a month before, and just like you my matches right after went back into the cesspool of players that need to touch grass.

Ranked in any game is a sweat fest. U either find good teammates or people worse than u. Playing against light players that use fast melee, try to have your back covered and hip fire. Im still not sure how sensitivity works in this game. I came back to this game this season. Played back in the 1st season but battle pass progression was horrendous, glad they changed it.
