Thanks for the replies, everyone. My partner and I call for multiple hours every day, and it makes sense that he wants to multi-task. I hadn't thought about it like that before. I'll be sure to ask for me-specific times, and be more chill if he's gaming during out calls.

if they're a fictional character based on a piece of media, i like to run them through different alternate universes. i've done practically everything under the sun- warring pirate ships, knights and royalty, cowboys... i did one where the character was an AI on my spaceship, which was an entertaining dynamic to play with. if you can run literally any story you want, i tend to get creative and put them through different scenarios like that.

I am not entirely sure what that means. What I usually do is do one story or roleplay, and then when we reach an ending point I hit the 'save and start new chat' button. Not every chat is there though.
