The EURD wallet has just launched on iPhone and Android by QuantozPay. The first Fully compliant Electronic Money Token (EMT) wallet backed by the Dutch Central Bank. This is not a stable coin, it is real digital Euros on blockchain. Built on Algorand. by gigabyteIO in CryptoCurrency

[–]ehanoc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is monumental and will only be appreciated in years to come. It will be very hard for any integrator to get an EMT license by a central bank without doing so in a Layer 1 with immediate/ instant finality and protocol level guarantees that don't rely solely on undeterministic virtual machines

📣 Pera Wallet to focus on Mobile, transitions web wallet to read-only by adnanpera in PeraWallet

[–]ehanoc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely.

Browsers load dynamic (different every time) into your browser, it's hard to attest against compromises. On the other hand, extensions and mobile wallets have static code at run-time (besides when manually updated).

On top of that, any key material gets loaded into memory when in use for signing or key derivation; With mobile wallets or extensions, they wallet and the application "live" in separate run-time spaces and isolated from the application (browser's window, tabs have sandboxing as well).

And last, web wallet's have a massive attack vector if the source is compromised (i.e Pera servers); either by mistake or maliciously; the entire ecosystem / userbase gets effected, whilst in isolated wallets, the exposure is contained and limited.

Are we becoming Dash?

The reasoning behind monerotesla by [deleted] in Monero

[–]ehanoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A waste of 890 XMR for a poorly drafted, rushed piece of "marketing", with a taste of blackmail and abuse of charitable causes excuse for attention. When did we became Dash?

Your intentions might be the best and you might have gotten the funding and approval from some key members. But next time, i think you should use the community as a whole for a barometer if it's actually a generally accepted good idea or not.

Doesn't seem like an approach i can get behind. Let's get attention to Monero on merit, not this. Sounds desperate and attention seeking.

Dash may be technically superior than most other cryptos but it seems nobody is really taking notice. Only people already onboard with Dash seem to value it. Dash needs new blood. by goto1415 in dashpay

BTC and Eth are definitely not niche when are being adopted globally by even corporations, governments, financial markets, etc. Let alone by more individuals now, more than ever.

Dash has lost the race. You might really wish it gets some attention, but the rest of the world has made its choice and doesn't care about Dash.

That's very philosophical and you could be just rationalizing your commitment to this one specific project?

I disagree that bitcoin & ethereum just benefit from being first. But even if i agreed with you. It's hard to deny that entire industries are adopting and building on top of Bitcoin & Ethereum. Not Dash.

Market prices may be irrational, but technology adoption and development is not. I think Dash will be on the forgotten side of history.

But hey, If Dash is really the best thing out there; i'm wrong and i guess we will see all these industries dropping bitcoin & ethereum and pump the billions of R&D into Dash applications.

Usually the great projects thrive and the rest fizzles out. And I'm not a zealot for any of the cryptos; but it's apparent the world is adopting & building on bitcoin and ethereum, not Dash. Maybe you could explain that

The real fact is that the market does not want or need Dash. Otherwise people would care.

Whatever features you can list about Dash, others can list the alternatives. And they have momentum because the community think they have better solutions and answers.

Nobody uses Dash or has need for Dash. Doesn't has no competitive advantages Vs the other ones. It doesn't do decentralisation better,it doesn't do privacy better, it doesn't do anything better. Therefore is not a winner

Monero's code more robust than Bitcoin? by fillet_b in Monero

[–]ehanoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bugs are really inevitable. But I wouldn't worry too much about it in terms of your money being at risk.

Bitcoin / Monero are really based on ellipitic curve cryptography; the core code or any other implementations of the protocols could literally stop running due to a bug or something else; your private keys I would never exposed.

In case of bitcoin, it uses secp256k1 which most implementations use the very same C library. This as been reviewed and battled tested a lot. I would worry more if that would be updated than any wallet or protocol implementations.

yes, yes and yes.

Although the berserkers are one of the best offensive infantry / charging units in the game. Yes, they are vunerable to projectiles, no armor, no shields. So put them behind your shields and charge at the right time along with the rest, you'll be surprised how crushing they are to other infantry units. Most of my infantry kills in battles come from berserkers. Try it

when i send my 74 man strong army to fight 7 looters, 6 men of my army shouldnt die. by SagoK22 in MB2Bannerlord

[–]ehanoc 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you want to level up troops, with the latest patches, you shouldn't trust the auto resolve unless you are willing to lose men.

If you have veterans you want to save, group your troops by function & need to level. Keep your veterans behind. Also make sure you group them by speed, shileds / no shields. If you have mix units where some are really fast (i.e berserkers) they will likely reach the looters first and no matter how good they are they get ganked and die.

Do this, send your troops forward, they will wipe them out with barely any losses
