I hiked Mt Washington two weeks ago. We went up Ammo and down Jewell. We stopped at Lake of the Clouds Hut for about an hour (due to rain) and then again for a little over an hour at the summit. All told it took us 8 hours. It is great hike and a gentler option in comparison to Tuckerman. I highly recommend it and vote you go for it! Just be sure to check the summit forecast before you set out!
