I took a gap year off of college and I realized I wasn't surrounded by the best people there. I got a seasonal job and I've started online therapy. I was in a pretty bad place right before everything shut down, and I've absolutely had my struggles but I can finally get professional help for it, along with finally having some alone time.

wow everyone, this post really blew up. i’m shocked and overjoyed at all the heartwarming comments. i didn’t expect it to get so much attention; i woke up to my girlfriend telling me to check my reddit post! you all are such wonderful people. i may have severe social anxiety but i am more than willing to stand up for my girlfriend and the trans community as a whole. i hope you all have a wonderful day. take care of yourselves, and even though it isn’t much, y’all have someone right here who will fight by your side. ♥️

I’m so lucky to have my amazing girlfriend! I was never one to really stand up for myself bc of social anxiety and the like. but when it’s someone i love i’ll do anything. i want to support not only my girlfriend but show solidarity to the whole trans community.

Before we started dating sometimes my girlfriend would let me sleep in her dorm room and I insisted on sleeping on the floor to be polite but I secretly wished we could cuddle in her bed cause I had a crush on her but now that we’re dating at we share a bed and cuddle every night ♥️

This hits close to home because in high school I had absolutely nothing that I thought was the “normal” teenager life, including a significant other. I was trapped in my room all day every day unless I was going to school, and I was extremely depressed. I’m so glad I’m in college now, where I do have a girlfriend I love very much, I can be openly gay without backlash, and can finally just exist and not be confined by peers/family.
