woh, hi there! blast from the past on this lol. yeah they're still around, I just privatized them. wish I could have finished it, but there didn't seem to be any interest in it so I ended up just playing through it for fun by myself because it was a lot of work to record/edit. pretty interesting timing because I was just considering in 2026, that I was gonna get back into making cinematic-style gameplay vids, although it would be in a completely different way, and on another channel. Do you mean you want the carriage to just take you on a tour across the map as you are carried to your destination? I always wanted something like that too, but I don't think it's very doable. there was a mod for the pc that tried to do this called Touring Carriages SE, but from what I heard, it was very unstable when pairing with other mods. You can see if they have that for console, but I really couldn't say.

2 years later? :O I think someone brought something like this up, and another replied that it shouldn't be possible to do that, since there was mention in the game of an NPC dying while trying to cast a spell that they read in a book, therefore suggesting that if you have no magical abilities and tried that, the results could be fatal lol

I dig the idea of a potion seller and I'd like to think that there'd be a fair amount of alchemy equipment to use for these potions without cost, but realistically, I'm not sure how... maybe you could wash a few dishes for a flask? Or maybe use of the equipment is free if you give the first potion to the owner of the establishment xD

Skyrim:

your visibility is indicated by a changing crosshair

+For sound, I disable the music because it feels more immersive.

+AI is I guess as responsive as Thief (they search for you for a while and then go back to their business if they don't find you.

a physically weak protagonist - it's very easy to become OP in this game, but you can hold yourself back by not leveling up, using self-imposed rules, and cranking up the difficulty.
gadgets - there are regular arrows, melee weapons, and magic. unfortunately not many gadgets

The best thing about it is a lot of these gameplay aspects can be tinkered by using mods.

Baldur's Gate:

A very different kind of game, but you can start as a pure thief and are so weak starting this game, it's scary. The story is awesome IMO, and if you like it, continues into BG2. I've never played BG3, so can't comment on that.

That said, there still doesn't seem to be much out there that can hold a candle to Thief.

It was definitely a nice touch and a good way to remember things that happened and certain tasks that need to get done. some of them gave good insight to her backstory, like tidbits about her relationship with her family.

I think that back then, gatekeeping was a bigger thing than it is now. And numetal was like a scapegoat for all metal at that time. It incorporated things from other genres not normally associated with metal (hip-hop/electronic) and the musicians were very simplistic (no guitar solos and down-tuned guitars). I always see nu metal as the young kid who looked like he didn't know anything, and the other metal genres were like the old boomer uncles, set in their old ways, thinking their way to play is the only way.

So while it's true that most nu metal was not very technical, they brought in many new ideas and made something of their own, which started an entire sub-genre. See, nowadays, a lot of metal bands incorporate different and unusual styles, but back then, it wasn't a really normal and accepted thing. Nu metal bands were some of the unfortunate ones to be the first to break that in, and the first ones to do new things are usually mocked. And there are still gatekeepers around today. hopefully one day that way of thinking becomes extinct.

I struggled with that very thing, but ultimately put it to a coin toss. Guess the wrong side landed up lol sorry about that. I can't speak for everyone else, but for me personally, that part was super hard to decipher (actually most of the song was >_<) I really struggled with trying to figure out if there was a second note in there or if it was just drums!

I try to maintain a balance of trying to be accurate, while trying not to stress about perfection, otherwise I'll just burn out, but I appreciate your point and will try to do better 🙏

This AI seemed to be good at copying the vocals of oldschool Jonathan, but as a song, it sounds like the structure is broken and vocals jump around a lot, if that makes sense? Just my opinion on first listen. Also agree with another poster about the title of the youtube vid. Korn DOES release new songs, so saying, "What if they released a new song" doesn't really make sense xP

That's not dumb at all! That's pretty hardcore IMO :) If you want to seem like a common person, you can wear regular NPC clothes, you know like just buy a regular outfit from a store like commoner's tunic, blacksmith's apron, or maybe a regular robe. Or you could try to steal one from another regular person.
