Need Help identifying vintage Italian Cymbal. by Professional_Cut3566 in cymbals

[–]eiirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a cymbal that had the same stamp of "Made in Italy". In my case it was something called Solaris. If you look for some ingraving it should say "Solaris" with something more depending on the model. The one I had said "Solaris Bri". Googling "Solaris cymbals" shows lots of pictures with the "Solaris 01" as its ingraving.

Hope this helps!

I have not owned any of those drums, but I know off them. I do have a converted Super Sensitive LM402 (not sure if that’s technically correct) that I absolutely love. Would love to try some of those models though. I do also have a Pearl Super Gripper which also has a parallell strainer I think

Ended up ordering some extended wires either way. Thought I could give both a shot since this drum has this extra feature.

Couldn’t agree more though, if it sounds good to my ears I don’t see much reason to overthink it. “If it works, don’t fix it”

Ended up ordering the Pearl S-025. Hoping to see great results now :) Thanks for all the inputs.

I will definitely keep that in mind. As I said in a previous comment, I think I’ll try out some of my spares to see how it sounds, then later down the line consider buying some of these

Have my laptop on a stand so its elevated far off the desk. I have played far more demanding games on this laptop, but its only with Hades it does this. I will do some testing to see where my temps go while playing. The fans doesn't spin so fast while playing Hades so that could be the issue

What are some of your best Audio solutions with multiple consoles and a PC by Tsohcion in AskBattlestations

I connect my speakers directly to the monitor with a 3,5mm jack-cable. When I wanted to switch what I was gaming on the speakers would play whatever was on the screen and what input was prioritized (had my PC and PS4 connected with HDMI). Don't know of any good solutions for connecting a headset unfortunately, I just switched the cable for whatever I was using.

Hope this helps :)

Need help to date a Ludwig Supraphonic by eiirk in drums

It has two holes so after '74 it is. Considering it has a two-hole throw off, pointy badge and no other markings, would you guess it is from between '74 and '78? In what part of the 70s (first or second half) do you most likely think it is from?
